Title: Performance Tomorow
Post by: red macca on Friday, March 9, 2007, 10:34:32
Im sure im not the only one but i want to see a performance which shows some bottle. In many ways now this game is massive not just for the players but for the fans.If we dont get the result we need the attendance at the next game could be very very low.

I want to see crunching tackles, players closing them down straight away, players making runs and the wingers showing themselves out wide at every opportunity.

Timlin and zaboub owe us a good performance(they all do really) but when these two play well the team does. Its likely the team will be the same as last week as he will give them one last chance and they have to realise that we demand a performance that gives us bit of hope again and gets us right behind them

3-1 im going for

Nothing less wll do

My predicition is a 6-1 win which has a no logic behind it, just blind hope.

Spot on macca!

I hope after the fall out from last week the players grow some balls and put in a performance - were it us versus a team who'd been turned over then I'd be worried about the reaction - as it's us reacting I can't find my optimism.  That said the players frankly owe us and Sturrock a big match, and failure to improve is gonna see some players being cast out into the wilderness.

They will come and defend. Its going to be an 'ugly' game. Won't be pretty but most of us just want commitment from the team. We need to see the passion from the players.

We'll play a bit better but score none and let in 2 stupid goals.

I keep saying we will win big and every time I do we seem to F it up....so i'm going to say that we will lose 2-1 in the hope that I am severely wrong (and that my real prediction of a 5-0 win will come true!  :shhh   )

You just know that it's going to be fucking dire.

I predict a 1-0 win courtesy of a truly bizarre own goal.

I agree it's not going to be a pretty game, it's gonna be one of those frustrating games where we can't play football, it will all be long balls and head tennis  :x

Top post Macca.  I want to see our players thundering into tackles like their lives depend on it.  KILL THE FUCKING BASTARDS

Win the battle, then the allow the quality to show.  We have better players than accrington, they just need to have the balls to show it.

I'd love us to turn them over and put on a bit of a show, but to be honest I'd be happy with any type of win from now till the end of the season.

We need to start grinding results out, if it's a scrappy 1.0 it's still 3 points and at this stage of the season that's all that matters.

As long as the players show some fucking effort and desire, any win will be good.

i think we'll draw tomorrow to be honest. we just dont score enough goals and we are not as tight at the back as we used to be. there will be a piss poor attendence because of the off the field stuff rather than performances of late

I'm going to give this lot's of thought whilst working tonight, see if I can emulate last weeks near-wonder prediction.

How did we actually do last week? I've forgotten. Seriously. I know we were shit.

Oh, it doesn't matter.

Don't bother reminding me

That would be true STFC form.

Leave the best performance for the least amount of fans.

Im going for a tight 2-1 town win. They are fighting for league survival so this one wont be a walk in the park. Not fussed who scores, but i have a gut feeling that this game is make or break regarding auto promotion, and i dont fancy our chances in the play offs.....Brighton heartache again? Lets hope it doesnt come to that!

Must win game or we will be looking at the dreaded play offs, the crowd will be down again due to not getting a striker in on loan.

Looks like we'll be 5th going into tomorrows game, Lincoln are 1-0 up at Hartlepool.

I think it'll be a scrappy 1-0 win

Looks like Monkeys run has contined, as Hartlepool scored a 90th minute penalty.   In a sense, thats probably the best result for us

maybe sound a bit backwards but....its the business end of the season I dont care how we play, its the result that matters as long as we win nothing else matters to me.

Shitty, flukey undeserved 1-0 win or 100% committed tough performance but getting a 1-1 draw.

3 points all the time.

Ideally you get both but right now results are more important than performances.

Yup.

I'll go with most of that but I'm not convinced we can even score against Accy at the mo.
