Does that mean that play for Acrington Stanley and that us why the manager won't release them, what is so special about Sat, or are we chasing player is the FA Cup ??

Sorry, but I thought we needed players who can play now surely if it means getting someone that is still under contract that is good and needs experience like a certain person from Fulham then it is worth getting him, if it means taking someone short term and it helps with promotion then so be it.

They dont want to pay the win/promotion bonuses- full stop!!!

How the hell do they know we pay higher bonus levels t han all of league 1 and most of the championship- have they rung around all the clubs to find out?

Yes i agree as well. Loans are only till the end of the season. Surely if we are chasing promotion thats all we can go for in terms of extra bodies.

This inability to get players into the club, even on a loan deal is getting to be a bit of a joke now to be honest. I don't know where the problem lies but it has never been such an issue in the past :?

King never had any problems getting players in - and to be fair to the guy he managed to get some gem's in - Has Sturrock not got the contacts to be able to phone a manager and ask him who he has that he would be able to loan..blimey even a few of the teams above us have got loans in the last few weeks ??

No we get a defender when we really need a defender and a striker - we have strikers - only not great ones, we have no centre backs at all, especially now Ifil is out, a sage move by Sturrock.

My thoughts are Sturrock is operating more of a quality control system than King used to.

Sure king got some gems in on loan, but for every good loanee he managed to get I can think 1 medicore loanee and one crap loanee as well

I imagine that anyone coming in has to have "balls" as well. we can do without adding to the apparant defeatest mentality that runs through our current squad.

Err, we need a defender more than a striker, we haven't got any cover at the back FFS.

I guess the fact we're in league Two doesn't help when trying to get players in and kingy undoubtedly had a bigger budget.

Even so it is a bit worrying that other teams around us are getting quality, just goes to show we really can't compete with Hartlepool's, Dongs and Walsall's which is very depressing. The sooner we get rid of Newbury the better.

I actually admire what he is trying to do tbh.He dont just want any fucker who wont give a shit what league we are in next year as he wont be here.

Everyone goes on about how great kings loan signings were but what did it actually achieve,nothing.The players that king got in were never really here long enough to make a impact over a season .some of them were great individuals and SOME worked for the team but its no coincidence that kings best season was when our first team basically consisted of our own players.

It is good imo to see a manager who takes no crap and knows what he wants and will do what he has to do to get his point across

 With respect magic, you're the one being naive....its entirely possible that this Board would try and pull such a stunt....there is previous with difficulties with the paying of bonuses in the PO season a few years back.

 Do we know the players are being paid on time....

I don't believe Sturrock would lie so blatantly and so often.

If he wasn't allowed to bring in players then I would like to think there was a polite way of saying this instead of the constant lying.

I have lied to my customers before in order to protect my employers position, because I have a sense of loyalty to them because they at this moment in time are safeguarding my position and at the end of the day pay my mortgage.

Everyone should try and see through all the crap and the conspiracy theories and look at the cold hard facts.

Sturrock is employed by a body of individuals and no matter which way you paint it, and no matter how much of his own man he is, that body of individuals pay his wages.

Retrospectively I have said that a engineer is stuck in traffic when I know he has just left his last job in order to pacify a client whose SLA with us maybe a 1 hr response.
