Title: Town manager Paul Sturrock ordered his squad ... Post by: sonic youth on Monday, March 5, 2007, 15:15:25 back to The County Ground to take part in an inter squad match.
Sturrock looked on from the Arkells Stand as two sides made up of players from the first team squad, coupled with several members of the youth team, went head to head. It was full 90 minutes with youth team manager David Byrne officiating the game. Aaron Brown's penalty was the difference between the two sides with Town now preparing for Saturday's visit of Accrington Stanley on Saturday afternoon at The County Ground. Swindon Town Squads: (from) Phil Smith, Jon Stewart, Patrick Noubissie, Jack Smith, Jerel Ifil, Ashley Westwood, Callum Kennedy, Lee Peacock, Jamie Vincent, Andy Nicholas, Curtis Weston, Michael Pook, Michael Timlin, Aaron Brown, Ricky Shakes, Ben Wells, Chris Allen, Sofiene Zaaboub, Luke Hopper, Christian Roberts, Blair Sturrock, Lukas Jutkiewicz, Scott Doe, Sam Morris. http://www.swindontownfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Match/GalleryDetail/0,,10341~991409,00.html It's something at least! I once saw the All blacks possibles v probables on tv 2005. Was quality 30 blokes battling it out to get a place to face the Lions. From memory I think. Possibles won 34-37, Carlos Spencer came on a sub and turned the match around. Title: Town manager Paul Sturrock ordered his squad ... Title: Town manager Paul Sturrock ordered his squad ... Post by: Crozzer on Monday, March 5, 2007, 18:12:44 The good news is that only one goal was conceded. The bad news is that a goal was not created from open play.
Other good news is that no cards were awarded which might not have been the case at a reserve game, assuming that those would count. The good news is that Robets (and Shakes) is in the blue and white shirt, while those in the red shirts look more like the first team. Orther good news is that Peacock was fit enough to play in a red shirt of course. Title: Town manager Paul Sturrock ordered his squad ... And possibly Jack Smith dropped for Noubisse, which was what I thought after hearing Sturrock rant about Saturday's defending. Title: Town manager Paul Sturrock ordered his squad ...
