Title: Sturrock jr Post by: sonic youth on Sunday, February 25, 2007, 00:12:00 I thought he was superb today, a very lively and intelligent footballer - unlucky not to get on the scoresheet but troubled the defence all day by making clever runs, creating space for himself and others.
The front two in the first half looked the most threatening of all the combinations I've seen this season. Certainly worth persevering with. Title: Sturrock jr Post by: Bennett on Sunday, February 25, 2007, 00:17:16 he runs the channels very very well and just all round was ace. a close second to jerel i thought in motm
Title: Sturrock jr Post by: DV on Sunday, February 25, 2007, 00:18:39 we didnt play a front two today?
but...anyway I thought he was very good....just a shame...he drop into the channels and no one would take his place in the box to get on the end of his crosses Title: Sturrock jr Post by: Simon Pieman on Sunday, February 25, 2007, 00:20:07 I thought we played more of a dutch-esque 4-3-3 for most of the first half and went 4-4-2 for the rest of the game
Title: Sturrock jr Post by: sonic youth on Sunday, February 25, 2007, 00:22:43 It looked like 4-4-2 to me but I spent most of the game blowing up balloons and failing to get them anywhere near the executive box
Title: Sturrock jr Post by: DV on Sunday, February 25, 2007, 00:23:04 this was done in the other thread it was a
4-1-2-2-1 formation Smith Ifil Vincent Nicholas Timlin Pook Zaaboub Roberts Jutkiewicz Sturrock i think Title: Sturrock jr Post by: sonic youth on Sunday, February 25, 2007, 00:25:03 I thought it looked like 4-4-1-2 but I couldn't really work it out, Roberts was all over the shop. Lukas definitely went deeper than Blair though.

Certainly worth persevering with. Lukas looked a little lost out there at times, and Blair faded towards the end but I'd still agree. I'd like to see what he's like playing off Peacock as well mind. Title: Sturrock jr Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Sunday, February 25, 2007, 09:30:28 Sturrock played well! Lucas did ok but he seemed to get the buck of the refs decisions half of the time!
Title: Sturrock jr Post by: Scot Munroe on Sunday, February 25, 2007, 10:25:31 I thought the formation was a 4-3-2-1

Well that's all very well if they stand still the whole game isn't it  Title: Sturrock jr Post by: DMR on Sunday, February 25, 2007, 11:04:18 Sturrock was very impressive, particuarly his movement. However he should have had a hat trick and that's a worry.
Sturrock, Ifil and Vincent the stand-out players yesterday. Title: Sturrock jr Post by: Amir on Sunday, February 25, 2007, 12:05:24 What did you want him to do, pull out a rabbit?
