Bucks25 posted on thisisstfc.co.uk that if it weren't for the takeover, we'd have gone on a 17 game unbeaten streak like Hartlepool and be top of the pile. I decided the only way to prove him wrong was with statistics. The thread is here (http://www.thisisstfc.co.uk/forum_new/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=32983). If we take the starting date of takeover talks as the day on which the Fans' Consortium was formed (26/09/06) then the subsequent results are such: P21 W11 D3 L7 (19 games under Sturrock, 2 under Williams) Results prior to the formation of the Consortium, our results were: P17 W9 D5 L3 (all under Wise) This shows that we've won more games since the Consortium was formed but drawn less and lost a few more - hardly a huge difference and barely a negative effect whatsoever. If someone was to be particularly fecetious, they could highlight recent results as being poor due to talk of protests et cetera - P2 W0 D1 L1 is our form. However you can't draw conclusions from such a poor sample, so time will tell. In summary, anti-consortium types fuck off! Title: Takeover talks having a derogatory effect on results? The results have dipped, because the performances have got considerable worse in recent weeks. Post by: The_Plagiarist on Sunday, February 25, 2007, 14:49:22 I think though that the bonuses are perpetually based on league position. ie for every week we're in third they get x amount, if we drop to fourth the next week they get a little less etc etc. so they're not win bonuses as such, more weekly league position bonuses.
