Swindon Town | News | News | Aaron Brown So that's alright then! Who wrote it? Title: Brown Apology Post by: Arriba on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 15:10:21 forget it lets move on.we have promotion to win
Title: Brown Apology Post by: herthab on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 15:12:46 Agree in part Arriba, we shouldn't let it affect what goes on on the pitch and I don't think booing him will have any positive impact to the rest of the team.
But I don't think people will forget it............................ Title: Brown Apology Post by: Arriba on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 15:14:33 i know, but they should.
i dont condone what he did,but he was verbally abused himself. he's human after all... Title: Brown Apology Post by: Piemonte on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 15:16:01 I still think hes a cunt, but will probally remrain from booing him now**
*unless I'm really pissed and/or we are as bad as we were on tuesday Title: Brown Apology Post by: Sippo on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 15:22:28 Fair play to him for aplogising. Agree with Arriba, we've got promotion to win. We need as many players as possible. Lets move on.

Lets move on. to be honest he would have been made to apologise whether he wanted to or not But the fact he's done it to me says either he's sorry or Sturrock's taken control and told him to do it. Either way we need to leave it in the past even if many of us do still think he's a complete loser. We were lucky with results going our way on Tuesday, now we have to take advantage of that. I don't think letting this linger would help Title: Brown Apology Post by: fatbury on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 15:50:18 not good enough .. the apology or the player
Title: Brown Apology Post by: herthab on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 15:51:14 Another incisive post from fatbury........................

Fuck him off out. CUNT  Title: Brown Apology Post by: Matchworn Shirts on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 16:14:34 Make him train with the youths, he should never wear our shirt again. Big headed twat
Title: Brown Apology Post by: Rich Pullen on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 16:21:51 The incident was just fuel to an already blazing fire.
Brown was never going to win over the fans afters his comments last year. Simple fact is that for the time being he's not going anywhere - Sturrock chose him and Zaaboub over Monky and despite being totally justified in hating the player we have to move on from it as Aaron Brown isn't worth getting worked up about. Basically, he's the least of our problems! Title: Brown Apology Post by: Spud on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 16:22:23 Quote from: "arriba" i know, but they should. i dont condone what he did,but he was verbally abused himself. he's human after all... And do you think that had something to do with him telling our fans to 'fuck off' with wanker hand gestures following that. Ive decided not to to boo him on Saturday just because we're that bad at the moment and could do without it. He's in last chance saloon, if it happens again then surely nobody on here can stick up for him? Title: Brown Apology Post by: sonic youth on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 16:27:20 If this was this first offence I would probably forgive and forget.
Sadly it isn't so I'd gladly see him rot in the reserves until he drifts into non-league, I'll probably hurl some abuse at him on Saturday though. Sadly it isn't so I'd gladly see him rot in the reserves until he drifts into non-league, I'll probably hurl some abuse at him on Saturday though. I don't want him to play for us Again. I don't rate him. But if he does i will probably hurl abuse at him. Title: Brown Apology Post by: Give us an S on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 16:43:53 I have just read that statement with disbelief. Firstly he was not singled out for abuse during that game. I heard most players getting stick at one point or another.
When he took the corner and kicked it out i was frustrated. we all had a moan but again nothing that abusive was shouted. He looked as if he didnt care and smiled at the away end kissing his hands and waving them at us. Now i was the fan who on the railing. I didnt try to jump it, and nor was i on it straight away. But when he did that, i then jumped up on it to shout abuse. As i said to a steward, i never abuse our own players, but when someone who at the start of the season thought he was too good, then does that in the final couple of minutes not giving a toss then smiling and gesturing at the fans i was furious. So i jumped up telling him what i thought. He looked at me and gave me a wanker sign and just did not care one bit. That statement is a lie. I reacted to him not the other way around. He was just reacting to the normal boos and comments that had been made through the whole game. As a player you cant do that! Those comments were justified because we all spent a lot of money and time off work to watch that. Only to be re-paid by an awful performance. We are entitled to boo and have a moan. And when someone wastes a corner and does just not care i think it is a disgrace. So Brown, stick your apology up your arse! Its a lie and you are only saying it because you have been told too!! You are not worthy to wear the shirt! Title: Brown Apology Post by: lebowski on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 17:36:11 how long to run on his contract, anyone?
Title: Brown Apology Post by: STFC4LIFE on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 17:52:57 Quote from: "lebowski" how long to run on his contract, anyone? He signed an 18 month contract when he signed last January I think? So it will end this summer. Title: Brown Apology Post by: DV on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 18:05:21 waste of space....we've got better players and he's no loss....
Title: Brown Apology Post by: herthab on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 18:08:57 But in earlier posts, you stated the squads too small?
Title: Brown Apology Post by: DV on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 18:13:17 Quote from: "herthab" But in earlier posts, you stated the squads too small? it is.... ........but we've sold players with much more talent that Aaron Clown. He has had, what one? decent game this season and has produced so very little. He's added next to nothing to our promotion cause. Plus, he's a bit of a twat really Title: Brown Apology Post by: TalkTalk on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 19:38:37 I don't believe that statement one little bit.
For a start, Brown kan't speel. Title: Brown Apology Post by: Simon Pieman on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 19:51:50 I'm going to tickle Alan on saturday and force him into a smile.
Failing that I will paint one on his grumpy face like some sort of ironic clown Title: Brown Apology Post by: TalkTalk on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 20:00:22 Quote from: "simon pieman" I'm going to tickle Alan on saturday and force him into a smile. It won't happen, not after the week I have had. Quote Failing that I will paint one on his grumpy face like some sort of ironic clown Orange face paint please. Title: Brown Apology Post by: Tails on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 21:08:16 I feel obliged to stick up for Brown and I have no idea why, I don't like him.
I refuse to hurl abuse at our own players during games though it's pathetic. Title: Brown Apology Post by: Luci on Thursday, February 22, 2007, 21:22:25 Hes been forced to apologise, only doing it to keep in managers good books. Bottom line is hes here and theres nothing the fans can do to get rid of him so people are going to accept that.
Although what he did was unacceptable, I think there are bigger issues at the club to worry about at the moment. Thats whats so depressing at the moment! The game, the manager, the players and fans are no longer the important issue on a saturday afternoon, its the bunch a clowns running the show!! Last year we were shit, but the game was the important thing, saturday afternoon was about football because the pissing board werent releasing statements every other day ruining football for the fans of this club. I don't blame the trust/consortium at all, but they've exposed so much bollox the football is second place to saving the club. He didn't apologise, he just said he could understand why fans were on the teams back after their first half display.
Now a complete wanker, and smarmy git. No respect for him. Total wanker. On the plus side, they said it was more than likely that there will be two new players coming in before tmrw. :beers: Title: Brown Apology Post by: JOHNNY REEVES on Friday, February 23, 2007, 10:55:38 everyone through their lifetime has a time where they f--k everthing up ,brown is unlucky his are falling in the space of 18 months  booing him is the perfect remedy instantly turning him from a div4 player into ronaldinho :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick: if he plays tomorrow he surely must score the winner, remember earlier in the season when he came back the freekick he scored.if he hasn,t scored by 80mins boo him so he will put in the extra little bit of effort to raise his middle finger. :fu:
Title: Brown Apology Post by: Give us an S on Friday, February 23, 2007, 11:07:27 I was thinking the same thing. Bet he scores the winner tomorrow. If he does, i wonder what his celebration will be?
I disagree though that he has been unlucky. He thought he was too good for us, but then relalised no one higher wanted him and had to eat his words. Since then he has been a poor player for us. He then shanked that corner at Barnet and did not give a monkeys and made gestures to the fans. He then only apologised because he was told to and even his apology was a lie. That to me is not unlucky, but a cunt. We dont need players with attitudes like that at this club, I for one will boo him. If he scores i dont care, yes i will be happy we have scored but it wont change my opinion of him. We do not need players like that playing for us! Title: Brown Apology Post by: strooood on Friday, February 23, 2007, 13:38:42 just read the apology in the adver...
that is proper kid's stuff "i was swearing at myself, just happened to be looking at them and doing wanker signs". for crying out loud. i think it's the biggest load of bollocks iv ever read. as for being told to go back to bristol.... which forum member was that then?? i'll give you a clue, he's posted on this very page :D if he scores he's still a cunt. Title: Brown Apology Post by: Sade on Friday, February 23, 2007, 13:57:52 Exactly what I said strooooood.
I'm not bothered whether he stays or goes, but he did lie on the radio I don't care that he apologosed(not that it matters cos any other player would of done that to cover his back). If you swore at yourself saying 'fuck you'(and come on who says that!?) surely you would'nt be looking right up with your face facing the fans!! Liar Liar pants on fire :D Bottom line is,all players recieve critism bloody well deal with it without trying to insult the people that pay your wages you fool!! He better start playing good now or something. And thats my last comment on this whole brown incident.Over with. End of :) Title: Brown Apology Post by: reeves4england on Friday, February 23, 2007, 14:09:35 In my opinion the main thing is not to let this get out of hand. Yes the guy is a cunt, Yes it is fair enough to not want him in the team...
But on the whole I think getting promoted this season is the most important thing. Obviously if he puts in Barent-esque performances from now on I will copletely agree he should be dropped but let's just support the team and forget who is playing until we come back on to message boards after the match. I don't think winding him up during games is going to help the STFC cause one bit Title: Brown Apology Post by: sonic youth on Friday, February 23, 2007, 18:17:23 I'm listening to that smarmy cunt "apologise" on the radio now.
What a load of shit! Title: Brown Apology Post by: Leggett on Friday, February 23, 2007, 18:31:35 so tommoro, when i just happen to be looking at him, shouting "you're a cunt", as long as i say i'm calling myself a cunt, i can get away with it? ace :D
Title: Brown Apology Post by: BB12 on Friday, February 23, 2007, 20:48:03 Quote from: "sonic youth" I'll probably hurl some abuse at him on Saturday though. I thought you'd decided not to go to home games Sonic..? FWIW, any player that makes those gestures at his own fans should be suspended without pay and/or fined. Luggy should have the strength of character to sort this out. What would happen if the fan ('Give us an S' or anyone else) made a complaint to the League or the cops ? Title: Brown Apology Post by: sonic youth on Friday, February 23, 2007, 21:08:17 Quote from: "BB12" Quote from: "sonic youth" I'll probably hurl some abuse at him on Saturday though. I decided to start coming along again when I can afford it to take part in any protests, going to invest in a six game season ticket tomorrow though. Then they would be tossers too. Anyone who couldnt take that should have gone home or moved, because of the performance the air was pretty blue all night from the fans. Thats football. |
