Title: Hewlett Post by: reeves4england on Saturday, March 5, 2005, 18:03:36 Never has a good game, but usually plays "Okay".
Today the worst player on the pitch, closely followed by Duke. Title: Hewlett Post by: Piemonte on Saturday, March 5, 2005, 18:05:18 Yep. I demand him to be dropped after that shower of shite.
I really could have done better myself Title: Hewlett Post by: yeo on Saturday, March 5, 2005, 18:05:34 Liar!
Title: Hewlett Post by: strooood on Saturday, March 5, 2005, 18:07:18 jenkins was worst. he was worse than getting stabbed in the knee
Title: Hewlett Post by: flammableBen on Saturday, March 5, 2005, 18:17:58 I think Kingy should play himself. Could imagine him standing in the centre circle and lighting up his cigar half way through the first half
Title: Hewlett Post by: sonicyouth on Saturday, March 5, 2005, 18:26:34 At least the cigar smoke could damage the oppositions lungs and disrupt their play, which is far more than Hewlett managed today.
Title: Hewlett Post by: flammableBen on Saturday, March 5, 2005, 18:29:47 He could also bribe the ref with his finest cubans. guarenteeing victory
Title: Hewlett Post by: sonicyouth on Saturday, March 5, 2005, 18:32:08 You could also play Howard and make him look skinny.
Title: Hewlett Post by: DMR on Saturday, March 5, 2005, 18:34:17 Thought Jenks was worse than Hewlett, although it was a tight one.
I feel sorry for Hewlett, he gives 110% but he simply doesn't have 'it' Title: Hewlett Post by: flammableBen on Saturday, March 5, 2005, 18:35:43 unless 'it' is football aids
Title: Hewlett Post by: Haribinho on Saturday, March 5, 2005, 18:38:33 Miglioranzi in.
Title: Hewlett Post by: DMR on Saturday, March 5, 2005, 18:42:11 Migs and Hewlett (as captain) at Lootown for me.
I'm gonna get stick for that one... Title: Hewlett Post by: Piemonte on Sunday, March 6, 2005, 11:12:11 You are indeed Dave. You twat.
Explain why you would play Hewlett over Smith after a performance like that Title: Hewlett Post by: Whits on Sunday, March 6, 2005, 11:23:29 its got to be migs and smith, smith going forward and migs the holding player in mid
Title: Hewlett Post by: DMR on Sunday, March 6, 2005, 11:23:38 I'd go 4-5-1 actually, play all 3, in an attempt to stop us getting completely destroyed.
Title: Hewlett Post by: strooood on Sunday, March 6, 2005, 13:33:18 agreed dave. get holmes and igoe to hug the touch line and let smith maraude forward in a sort of scholes role
Title: Hewlett Post by: Piemonte on Sunday, March 6, 2005, 14:21:54 Quote from: "dave_m_russell" I'd go 4-5-1 actually, play all 3, in an attempt to stop us getting completely destroyed. We need to win, therefore i would drop Hewlett and play 4-4-2 Evans Jenkins Heywood O'Hanlon Duke Igoe Smith Migz Holmes Parkin Proctor Title: Hewlett Post by: Simon Pieman on Sunday, March 6, 2005, 14:36:39 i'd go with what pieface said. we'd play too negatively with 4-5-1
Title: Hewlett Post by: walrus on Sunday, March 6, 2005, 17:48:11 Quote from: "Piemonte2" Quote from: "dave_m_russell" I'd go 4-5-1 actually, play all 3, in an attempt to stop us getting completely destroyed. We need to win, therefore i would drop Hewlett and play 4-4-2 Evans Jenkins Heywood O'Hanlon Duke Igoe Smith Migz Holmes Parkin Proctor I'd agree, although Hewlett did score at Kenilworth Road last season.... I would play Howard, however, as Holmes was anonymous on Saturday, and we need a consistent if unspectacular performance, but Holmes offers absolutely nothing defensively. Howard is our player, so we should avoid pissing him off, and he'll be hungry for it. Title: Hewlett Post by: Piemonte on Sunday, March 6, 2005, 17:49:47 Howard - "hungry for it" :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick
Title: Hewlett Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Sunday, March 6, 2005, 20:38:28 It is a joke that Pipe Cleaner Man is in the side while Migz is on the bench. Hopefully Migz and Smith will play at Luton.
Title: Hewlett Post by: Piemonte on Sunday, March 6, 2005, 22:27:34 Migz looked fit enough to me when he came on.
He MUST start against Luton Title: Hewlett Post by: Simon Pieman on Sunday, March 6, 2005, 22:29:15 i can't see Hewlett starting myself, unless King fucks with the formation. Don't think this will happen though, I think Harford will want to stick to the one formation and will hopefully disuade kingy from changing it
Title: Hewlett Post by: janaage on Monday, March 7, 2005, 09:43:38 Why don't we play Igoe, Howard, Smith, Migs, Hewlett, Robinson and Duke in the middle, with Parkin up front and Seano and Heywood at the back. Drop Rhys as well.
Title: Hewlett Post by: STFCBird on Monday, March 7, 2005, 09:55:17 How can you pick out individuals, they were all rubbish, until the great Stefani came on. He deserves his place alongside Smithy in midfield.
**To the bloke at the back of the townend shouting abuse at the players, you are a stupid c*nt and you made yourself look a right tit and everyone wanted to punch your lights in** Title: Hewlett Post by: strooood on Monday, March 7, 2005, 11:47:33 punch his lights in so he would struggle to see in his house when it gets dark. or the ones on his car so he gets pulled over and fined?
both seem like ingenious plans to me Title: Hewlett Post by: STFCBird on Monday, March 7, 2005, 12:33:00 We should hunt him down and do both!!! 8)
Fair play to the bloke that told him to sit down and shut up, and that we support the team in the red shirts and should be getting behind the team and not acting like dicks :beers Title: Hewlett Post by: McLovin on Monday, March 7, 2005, 16:40:55 When it comes to Hewlett though, he deserves abuse. His inept performances could try the patience of a saint.
Title: Hewlett Post by: reeves4england on Monday, March 7, 2005, 16:49:20 I'm not saying that Hewlett should never play in a town shirt again. He is perfectly capable of doing some jobs, but Bournemoouth wasn't the right kind of game for him.
Hewlett is the kind of player you want in the side against teams near the bottom of the league because he chases them and they feel under pressure. Bournemouth (and Luton) are doing well, so we need(ed) to counter that with skill not endurance. Evans Jenks/Garrard (maybe too harsh to drop Jenks after one bad game) Heywood O'Hanlon Duke Holmes Smith Migs Igoe Parkin Roberts (or probably Proctor depending on fitness) Book, Nicholas, Hewlett, Proctor/Slabber, Howard |
