Title: ace! man utd fans question on sky sports... Post by: Leggett on Thursday, February 15, 2007, 13:43:19 my boredom has led me to the skysports spanish football section, and reading the experts bit, a man utd fan has emailed in a question about whether Ronaldo will go to spain...
Quote RONALDO ON HIS WAY? Hi Guillem, I'm a big fan of Man Utd and very worried about Cristiano Ronaldo's situation. Do you think he will move to Barca or Real Madrid? While Xavi, who might be involved in a swap deal, would he suit our style of play? Regards, Sakhile Khnayile, RSA another fine manchester name there. fucking joke of a football club. Title: ace! man utd fans question on sky sports... Post by: janaage on Thursday, February 15, 2007, 14:33:19 This Man Utd bashing's getting a bit boring, especially as you really can't single out Man Utd for being popular world wide.
I know more Liverpool and Arsenal fans (and Chelsea fansfor that matter) who live in Swindon, my local's full of them. If you're gonna have a go have a go at the whole of the top flight in general. They all benefit from cross country support, well apart from Wigan who don't really have much support at all really. Abdul Singh, Ash Brake. Title: ace! man utd fans question on sky sports... Title: ace! man utd fans question on sky sports... Post by: Spud on Thursday, February 15, 2007, 15:49:28 There seems to be more Liverpool fans in Swindon than any other Premiership side these days.
Since the CL Final in Istanbul i think most people jumped onto the Merseyside bandwagon. :? Title: ace! man utd fans question on sky sports... Post by: OOH! I would like to have a go at the whole of the Premiership Abdul, thanks for the invitation. I hate the Premiership and I don't watch it. It was not a concious decision to not watch games, I have started watching a few this season but they just bore me and I stop watching after 5 minutes. It's all money, money, money, money in the Premiership and it sickens me. One day the bubble will burst though and I will love it. Thank you. Title: ace! man utd fans question on sky sports... It's not what football is about as far as I'm concerned. :? Title: ace! man utd fans question on sky sports... Post by: Rich Pullen on Thursday, February 15, 2007, 16:20:58 Quote from: "OOH! Or, because I moved away from Swindon years ago, people (work colleagues or relatives who in fairness don't really 'do' football) will quite innocently ask "Why don't you support another team so you don't have to travel so far?" "Well what a marvellous idea, why didn't I think of that one? Thank you so, so much Aunty Flo, you really are a fucking stand up bird!" In reality I just ignore them  Title: ace! man utd fans question on sky sports... Post by: Sussex on Thursday, February 15, 2007, 18:07:19 Quote from: "OOH! Post by: seanski on Friday, February 16, 2007, 01:55:51 I remember taking my cousin who is a manc' to a home swindon game (Oldham) when we were in the premier and we were on the bank and he just couldn't believe the amount of young lads that had Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd shirts on. I couldn't explain it even then, but I did feel embarressed about it.

We have them down here, at college everybody wearing a Liverpool shirt the day after the final. Some of the comments were 'I turned the TV off at 3-0 and was shocked to see we had won'. Fucking twats, typical Liverpool fans come from everywhere except. Title: ace! man utd fans question on sky sports... Post by: Spencer_White on Friday, February 16, 2007, 19:52:43 I remmember the Man United fans starting to appear in about 1992. Whilst it is true that Man Utd have always had rock solid support, their southern fans were nowhere to be found before then.
Liverpool have been everywhere ever since I can remmember. They seem to be the more acceptable face of southerners glory supporting. Its always enjoyable to ask them what difference there is between themselves and southern Man United fans. All the same bollocks to me. Liverpool and Manchester United have been ripe with southerners for over a decade. Next clubs in line to get the influx would seem to be Manchester City (who have totally lost their way as supporters) and Newcastle (who were always vastly overrated anyway). The fact that Leeds United's attendances have halfed in 5 years says a lot about where those extra 20,000 supporters came from. How many Leeds do you see about down south now? Up north Everton are still proper. Hope football becomes unfashionable again soon. Title: ace! man utd fans question on sky sports... Even If I'd been lifelong Chelsea (thankfully not) I'm fucked if I'd fork out £50 a ticket to watch a dull team, knowing that a large portion of my disposable income was going into the back pockets of "£130k a week cunty bollocks Ballack." I don't see why it matters to be honest because a) they still charge stupid amounts b) they have all the money they want anyway even if no fans turn up! Nothing more than a marketing scam if you ask me |
