had some family over from ireland recently.they tried a pint in every pub we went to in swindon.
they didn't finish any of them.they were appalled at how bad it was.
never tried it here or in the emerald isle so dont know myself

i like guinness, it was this pint in particular that was appalling. bottom of the barrell i reckon.

All Guinness is brewed in Dublin. The only difference I could imaginne is the pressure on the tap or the temperature of it.

That could be true. I haven't tried Guinness in Ireland but my brother has and he said the exact same thing as your relatives.

Either way the stuff in England aint too bad.

I think the whole "Oooooh Irish Guiness is much better than English Guiness" debate is a case of the Emperor's New Clothes. i.e it's a load of bollocks.

I've drunk it in England, Ireland, and the USA and probably a few other places. I've even drunk it at the Guiness brewery itself and it's all good 8)
