You say "given the weather", but the weather up here in Preston (much closer to Rochdale than Swindon) is bright and not too cold (2/3 degrees). A very tiny bit of light snow falling occasionally and none settling. So the weather is good, and you should assume it's on at the moment. Just bear in mind, that only the South is getting snowed on.
