I think he is. I didn't used to, but I do now. He cannot pass, loses the ball too often and doesn't give his defender any cover. He's supposed to be a left winger but he very rarely is found on the left. He is lazy and pisses about with it in stupid areas. He also tends to disappear for large parts of the game.

I daresay I'll get told how he is wonderful but personally I think Brown does a better job.

 Its possible that now he's got a contract he'll be shit.....not the first time this has happened.

He's got to do more in games that don't suit him, he does sometimes lack the grit for this league.

Brown's a better defensive option but we need to stick by Zaboub. The last time I remember Brown playing was at Walsall- and he was excellent and Zaboub was even better in the centre.

Tough one, Sofi needs to get his act together because he doesn't seem to fancy it at  the moment.

However the person who concerns me most is Timlin, typical Swindon loanee. Play excellently, get sorted for the rest of the year then turn out some proper dross.

But if we had a better left back you wouldn't be moaning about Zaaboub being lazy and not getting back.

When Roberts plays right wing (and when Brownlie has previously) no one moaned they didn't get back, because Jack Smith can cope with one on one's.

That's also because they're not wingers Sam so you can sympathise.

Zaaboub is a decent player.

I think zaboob is a fantastic player, he didint have a great game on sat but i think that was just the performance of the whole team.

Its kinda like schevchenko (pre joining cheslea) he was an amazing player and fitted well in the team but when i saw him at the world cup with ukraine i thought what a load of toss he was.

i just think it was an off day for him.

I actually thought his best game was at walsall where he played from a more central position - Monkhouse was a better left winger but was worth £30k to the board whereas Zaaboub was free and no doubt on lower wages

Zaaboub can go round players, cross with some venom and has been known to tackle.  He won't get it right all the time but he's miles better then Brown IMO

Zaboub's performances have been of some concern to me for a few games now. He needs to buck his ideas up pretty quickly

My God, I agree with Fatbury well the bit about Zaboub looking good in the middle, why after one decent game in the centre has he been pushed back out to the wing.   He was the main reason we dominated that Walsall match.

As for Zaboub being shit and lazy, fucking get a grip of yourselves.  What is it as soon as someone has a bad couple of matches they're "shit and lazy"???  

I have been guilty of this in the past but am concentrating on not doing it anymore.  I'll try and judge players over a few months, not a handful of matches.

I think he is absolutely fantastic.

I think Zaboub and Timlin have been our two best midfielders over the last 8 games.

It always amazes me how people see things differently. I call these people "wrong".

Timlin has class but on saturday was poor, missed passes and general didn't use the ball well.  It reflected the whole team.  Of our squad I think Zaboub and Timlin are certainly two of the classiest players, and ones with the most potential to play at a higher level in the future.  That doesn't take away from sub-par performances on saturday though.  Zaboub perhaps reflects the typical 'problem' perceived with overseas players, and that is that he can look lazy, disintersted and drift out of games.

True. I know a few people who can't stand Williams, yet i think we'd be a little bit buggered without him. We watch all the same games, but just can't agree!

zaboob is a decent player with abilty,i like brown too but his lack of consistency is his biggest let down.timlin is a good un too and has been the pick of the midfielders in the games i've seen recently.agree about evans and eagerly await his return

Anyone who wonders what Williams brings to the part need look no further than last season when Sean O was along side Ifil.

Thank you! Ifil IS shit, only Williams telling him what to do gets him through games.

I think that is simplistic. Ifil has some good qualities, he usually covers the opposition well. He can tackle. He has pace.

His flaws are there to see too. His passing is woeful in the most. He is sometimes rash, can go to sleep and he sometimes gets caught out of position.

No doubt Williams talking him through the games makes him a much better player though.

Evans is having an op on his ankle injury today. We wont be seeing him for at least six weeks according to the o/s

I can see Timlin breaking into the first team squad at Fulham next season, not sure he'll ever cut it at that level but he's definitely a talented footballer.

Sofi could play at a higher level, no doubt. Don't forget that he's a left-back playing on the left-wing, there's more going on around you to consider than at left-back where the whole game is played in front of you.

Then again I've not seen us lately so perhaps I'm wrong.

Timlin certainly looks better than Neal McDermott!

To be honest I see Timlin becoming a decent championship player. Lacks the pace or physicality to make it in the premiership IMHO. Which should be handy for Fulham in a season or 2 :wink:

i wouldnt listen to him, he never goes to games and prefers cricket.
he likes making sweeping statements about our players being rubbish too, makes him feel big or something.

i'm not 100% sure how someone could say paul evans has no technique but ho hum.
