Title: Tuesdays Meeting Post by: townfanupnorth on Thursday, February 1, 2007, 13:15:40 It is well known that Starnes said on the radio on Saturday that the meeting was nothing to do with the consortium and that it was only regarding whether Powers money was a loan or whether it was for shares.
So i dont really call that progress regarding the consortium. We just all know that the board are not interested in walking away so i'm not optimistic. Or perhaps they're finding how many share BP has in the club.

Wilks & Power are not stupid men surely if they didn't think they was going to get anywhere then I'm sure they would tell us and not bother to meet. I think we have to be patient at the moment and take it as no news is good news though. So even if this meeting only discussed that, the irony could be that they end up allowing 3/5 ths of the Consotrium's aims to become reality.
That or they have a £1m bill to pay. Yes, but then Starnes also said on the radio not so very long ago that the consortium backer (singular) was definitely an American. I'd be careful which sources you treat as definitive in making judgements like that.
