I've never really heard of it before, but it seems to have been in the news a bit recently. I don't think the FIFA ruling covers loans.
Title: FIFA Ruling Post by: lebowski on Wednesday, January 31, 2007, 18:26:49 i am assuming that it's an international thing (because FIFA are getting involved) that states that anyone moving cross-confederations cannot then move to another club within 12 months. probably something to do with maintaining some integrity in the work permit system.
i might be totally wrong but consider that andy monkhouse (for example) has played for three different clubs in the past 12 months. and besides, i would imagine domestic issues would be dealt with by either the FA or UEFA. |
