So a forum with under 900 members, is now a threat?

They just can't get it right, can they?

They try with 'Hearts and Minds'

And when that doesn't appear to work, they resort to threats and intimidation.

If there's nothing to hide, why are they trying to silence people?

It's not about the abusive language, that's been going on forever.

It's about silencing their critics.

Well said hertha, although there doesn't seem to be much we can do about it (apart from forcing the board out). As has been said, Whits owns this joint and we don't want to land him in hot water.

FWIW the original comments that were asked to be removed were just offensive. It's not as though they were parts of constructive discussion or were critical towards the board.

i must have missed them when they were first posted but they very harsh and crossed the "racist" barrier. we'll keep plodding on, just need to keep off the offensive stuff and keep on with the discussion

If there are any offensive words etc can you not alter it so they change to something non offensive? Like in the lay out of the forum? say someone says cunt on L and P it changes automatically to Ladies naughty bits etc....

Unless you had sufficient proof and would be willing to defend yourself, then yes probably.

But as you're only being hypothetical in this situation, no.

Sonic, last time i looked, we were living in a democratic society that allows for free speech and i am entitled to an opinion.
And i dont think describing me as a vigilante having read some of the other post's this morning does you any favours. Am i an irrelevent fan? Sounds like something sn1 would come out with.

Perhaps we should agree to disagree on this one. Lets face it, the whole boardroom debacle is quite emotive, and i for one have had enough of their nonsence.

Indeed you are but it'd be generally accepted as courteous to bite your tongue when your actions - or words - could have reprecussions for others.

I completely and unequovically agree that you have a right to free speech and thus the right to express your opinion but please just consider that due to the uncertainty surrounding libel laws with regards to the internet that we have to be far more careful than in the past.

If you wish to express your opinions in a way that will have no reprecussions for anyone but yourself, then contact the club with them directly.

judging by this thread alone, i would imagine that he thinks by being "neutral" then his opinion holds more weight than a fully signed up consortium supporter.
