Title: FAO Polish persons Post by: ibelieveinmrreeves on Wednesday, January 17, 2007, 16:55:53 Can someone tell me how to pronounce my landladys name please? I've not had to say it to her out loud before so I thought I best find out how to, as I may need to soon. I think it's Polish anyway - Zambrzycki - any help would be greatly appreciated!

things like if you had an SZ in a polish word you would say is the same way english say SH same as CZ for CH but RZ is a tricky one. I guess it sounds a bit like rsh but having an almost slient r. so in a way i guess it would be something liek Zam-brshic-key The C will need to sound like a C and not a K like a lot of comming english words also, as in Cat although its a C you use the K sound, the C would need to be a soft C then followed by a K.
