''We have made record offers for players in recent weeks which have far outweighed anything we've offered before,'' Stapleton said. ''You can make whatever offers you want, but it is then down to the other clubs. ''If the other clubs accept, which at least two of them have, it's then down to the agents and the players.'' Jackett has always stuck by Fallon despite the fact that the 24-year-old has at times struggled since arriving at the Liberty Stadium. He has scored a slightly disappointing 14 goals in 50 appearances for Swansea, including eight in 28 this season. Fallon has attracted criticism from some sections of Swansea's support and, although he has nearly always preferred him to rival targetman Bayo Akinfenwa, Jackett could opt to move him on if he can recruit at least one new forward before the window closes at the end of the month. Fallon, meantime, might be tempted by the chance to play Championship football. The former Barnsley youngster has always insisted he does not care about flak flying from the stands, but the chance to start afresh at a new club could be attractive."
