Title: MSN Bloody Messenger
Post by: Luci on Sunday, January 14, 2007, 23:29:21
Right, I'm getting angry with this stupid program as if I don't write something in a conversation within 5 minutes, it signs me out and I can't figure out how to change it so this doesn't happen.

I can't be bothered to keep signing back in

Any ideas?

It could be a number of things. Can you turn on connection logging in your options (connection tab)? This will save a log of your connection in your my docs/my received files folder. Then I can have a look and see if there is a problem there.

Do you use a router/have a firewall? I'm not sure if the problem is with msn itself.

I don't have connection logging unfortunately.  Its ok when Im constantly talking however it seems as though somethings set to log it off once I'm inactive.

Sounds to me like the port is getting closed off when you are not using it.

Can't you turn on connection logging? It should be in the options?

It doesn't have an advanced button in the connections tab?

I'm at work so not sure the msn version is up to date as I can't even see avatars in the windows!

Gay.

Is it windows messenger you're using or live messenger?

Also, does it give you a message like "you are signed in from another location?"
I think it's because windows messanger and windows live messenger (different programs) are conflicting with each other.
