38 euro thingies Is that good ? Title: Benji Post by: flammableBen on Thursday, January 4, 2007, 00:47:35 It's a blend of Grenache and Syrah (Shiraz in the new world) grape varieties.
Probably a spicey red berry jobby with a hint of vanilla to the nose. Should be pretty tasty. Somewhat unknown combination, but truly wonderful (I'm somewhat partial to a nice Shiraz). Can you get Yellow Tail (Australian) in the UK - if so, they do a wonderful Shiraz Grenache at a very reasonable cost.
Winemaker's notes A classic Aussie blend of the peppery qualities of the Shiraz complementing the upfront cherry flavors of the Grenache. The two varieties come together in a balanced wine with earthy tones, strawberry aromas and vibrant acidity.
