Last test of an embarrasing tour for the England Cricketers starts tonight at 11.30. Last test match for Warne, Mcgrath and Langer. I would make 1 change for the England side which would be Dalyrimple for Mahmood because we need a contribution from a no 7 and 8 and the sydney wicket takes spin and you should play two spinners.

I've got a few quid on an England win, which I now regret.

Dalrymple shouldn't play, we've got to take 20 wickets and Saj got a few last time out.

Think it could go either way....maybe.Although considering the form of the convicts and our awful form you'd have to say it'll be 5-0.Just seems like we've got worse as the series has progressed,whist the aussies have remained the same.
How wonderful it is to think this will be Warne's and Mcgrath's last test against us,legends they are BUT i can't wait for them to stop :beers:

Flintoff and Read will get hundreds with collingwood getting around 80 odd. All this done in sunshine, then the clouds appear when we are bowling and we skittle them out for around 350.

Not suprising, genuine walking wickets from Read downwards at the moment.

This is why I'll remain a Jones fan, the keeping is there and Read has possibly the worst technique of anyone who bats in the top 7 in international cricket.

How did we just happen to collapse like that? i would of put guys in from my saturday side who could of held their own with freddie while he scored!!
And why didn't we play Dalrymple...does anyone have any suggestions?

In my opinion England were around 30-40 runs under par on their total of 291. England bowled well today. Panesar could of had Hussey 3 times i think he had him caught behind when Hussey for not many. Well done to monty for blocking Ponting when Anderson ran him out.

i told you we would collapse and they will get 500 plus despite the fact they are only 180 odd for 4

Whilst the First Test was still in play I said to my lecturer that I was tempted to put £20 on a white wash.

I got an email from him today asking me if I put money on it and he wishes he'd done the same.

We wont do anything in the WC. Its time for a restructure of how the team is selected. Fletcher should now quit and a fresh person with fresh new ideas to be the coach.

We need to get the WC which will be a shambles out the way and start preparing a new younger team for the future and a new approach to the system we currently use.

I like the way Nasser criticised Harmison after Harmy was asked what he was going to do when he got back to England "I don't know? ask the coach"

I saw that on SSN and Nasser was right to criticise him.

we had 8 or 9 umpiring shockers in this ashes series which can absolute knock the stuffing out of you. Andrew strauss had 3 of the worst shockers all giving out by the worst umpire in the business in my opinion Rudi Koertzen. 3 more at melbourne by Koertzen where Hoggard had Hayden out twice LBW and Panesar had Hayden out aswell. We did not play well i am not making excuses we were dreadfull. Pundits on Guardian Unlimited Podcast said that Strauss luck is more like Damien Martyn luck in the Ashes of 05 which was Shocking.

Oh come on you can't blame the umpiring decisions for the fact that the English team were under prepared and totally outplayed by Australia.

The Australians had some shockers go against them when we won the Ashes here.

At the end of the day we should have went from India straight to Australia instead of coming home for 8 days, if any players don't like it then put someone in who is prepared to play for his Country.

I am not. They should of gone straight ti oz after the champs trophy and should of played a proper 4 day first class match. Those umpiring decisions could of swayed the game but they may have not. Were underprpared and total outclassed and outplayed by the better team.

i honestly dont think those 8 days would have made a damn bit of difference.

Of course they would have, we could have played a competitive first class game against an Australian State side instead of the crappy 14 a side 3 day game.

and against Western Australia in a 2 day game.

You could argue that one of the major factors of us winning the ashes 2 years ago was key umpiring descisions going in our favour. Its swings and roundabouts.

That game was a bit of a shocker for me,thought i'd seen Read hit the winning runs :D Only for him to carry on batting,really didn't know what the fuck was going on  :o  Really pointless playing a two innings game over just two days :roll:
