In the TE, OB used to lurk at the back in numbers if, some mob had infiltrated, which was standard practice and it all kicked off (it was common).....they would wade in, reinforcements would be called up who would also wade in, and random lads would be dragged out. The Harry Roberts chant would go up, which didn't improve the mood...it tended to be you got a bit of a slap on the way out, and were dumped outside the ground. I once received such a slap from a senior officer....he had been wearing Nazi style leather gloves, he took them off and slapped me round the face, whilst I was being restrained by a couple of others. Different world now. Keeping Roberts banged up isn't the problem, its leting the other buggers out. |
