Title: MKD - Final Arrangements
Post by: TalkTalk on Friday, December 29, 2006, 18:26:36
Ok then, nearly there!

We are taking three minibuses, the drivers are myself, Football Writer (Matt) and Herthab (Steve).

Timetable for Monday is as below:

http://www.redarmyloudnproud.org.uk/pictures/AlansPics/AlanMisc/mkd.jpg

I am assuming that because nobody else has said any different that if you haven't asked to be picked up anywhere specific then you will be at the CG for 09:00 at the latest.

However, if you do want picking up on the way (as per the general routes on the timetable) then please either PM me or let me know tomorrow at Notts County.

I will be doing the West Swindon and Stratton runs, FW the Eldene and Liden route. We'll meet up again at Sainsbury's and go in convoy while Herthab tears off to Chieveley to pick Whits up. We will meet up at Didcot Station to collect the country cousins.

The timetable allows for plenty of piss stops (a lesson learnt after Yeovil and Shitty   ).

Oh and there isn't a seating plan. Not after Louavo screwed my Shitty one up and threw it out the window. Wanker. So sit where you want to on whatever bus, I don't fuckin' care.

*huff*

Any questions, queries, problems or younger sisters available, then phone or text me on 07765 411 604.

Cheers

PS can a mod sticky this for me for a couple of days please? Ta.

if it's any easier you can pick me, village, birdy and sussex up at tesco in abingdon which is just off the a34 roundabout anyway, would allow for a piss-stop at teccies and you can get some booze in there too.

not too worried either way but it'd be cheaper for me to leave my car at tesco all day

I don't mind, Sonic.

We'll have to meet Mr Fleming at Didcot station anyway, but Tesco at Abingdon as well is fine.

Can you sort it out between yourselves and let me know?

Good to see Snodshill get a mention in the itinery....one of the estates out that way should have been named after the ancient Upper Snodshill....but I suppose it didn't sound sufficiently bland for the planners....it became Eldene.

Erm, if Dave Russell and Carver bottle it tomorrow (which I think they will as they haven't got match tickets) then there will be three seats available, Ash...

Might be able to squeeze the fourth onto JFW's face. Oops.

we will probably be up by then if not coming close to it. Rovers have a shite allocation like Mk too. demand will be high at that time of the season

1100 terrace and possible 500 seats

second last game of the season possible promotion securing game (touch wood, fingers crossed)

Id imagine we have more season tickets than that and many of them will want to be at that game and will get first shout.I suspect it will be used as a way of minimising any possible trouble as well with people only being allowed to travel by official means.

Its only a guess though.

I also attempted to arrange meeting you for paying my way and you never replied so you're being a bit daft.

erm, well you would have to follow the SAS buses mate. I don t think you realise that if your going through Bristol to the rovers match in a bus with DANGERFIELDS OF SWINDON on the side you are likely to be hit with all kinds of shit and windows broken on the way to the ground. If its anything like shrewsbury the OB would stop any mini buses going to the game knowing there will be trouble. It's all well and good saying you will park with the SAS buses its just the case of even getting to the ground in 1 piece. City just about tolerated it but Rovers are wankers. I'd still be up for it just watch what you are doing mate. I honestly dont think you know how rough it could get.

You can always go to Abbey Wood and come in the back way, which is about 1 mile from the memorial.  There's a big boozer right by it on the start of Filton Av. which would probably be a good place to drink.  King George V or something like that.  There's not many close to the ground you'll get away with drinking in, so it's either that or drink in Hogshead or somewhere near the arches in town then get on a no.70.

Or you could all just storm The Cabot, it's up to you :P

Any suggestions for which match? I suppose Hereford might be the only possibility if Rovers is off the menu. Does it get rough there?

I have managed to get hold of a copy of the itinerary for tomorrows away funday at MK. For those of you going that have still not received this it reads as follows..

09.00: Start the proceedings with a good old pray, thanking our Lord Jesus for filling our hearts with love.

10.00: STFC Christ is bringing his guitar so we will be having a singsong to praise our saviour the Lord Jesus. Don't forget if you've got a tambourine please bring it, alternatively why not make some makeshift maracas using an empty jar of decaf coffee and some dried lentils.

11.00: Leave Swindon

12.00: Yeovil red will be re-creating the moment our Lord Jesus turned water into wine by turning lager into piss.

13.00: stop at motorway services to stretch legs and clap hands. Optional pray if required.

14.00: Arrive in Milton Keynes. Whits will try and perform a miracle by getting DV85 to buy a round of drinks.

15.00: Kick off! cheer and clap our brave red soldiers to 3 points...hallelujah, praise the Lord, praise him, praise him!

17.00: Meet back at the bus to discuss ways that we can enrich other peoples lives by spreading the word of the Lord Jesus. Whits will once again be attempting a miracle as he tries to help Yeovil red regain the use of his legs.Set off back to Swindon.

18.30: Arrive back in Swindon. Anyone who would like to continue praying, singing and rejoicing in the love of our Lord Jesus can do so but please remember STFC Christ starts work at Tescos at 20.00 so will have to leave at 19.30.

Have fun and God bless.
