  Probably our most famous fan at the moment is David Howell.....he's a golfer, played in the European Ryder Cup team, and finished third in the European PGA Order of Merit this year.

  Due to the nature of his sport though, he doesn't get to many games. Willie Carson our chairman, is quite famous, but nobody likes him.

Ian Flemming wasn't from Swindon I don't think. However he's burried near by.

 Fleming wasn't from Swindon, but he's buried in Sevenhampton churchyard.

The one I'm really surprised at is Julian Clary was apparantly born and bred in Swindon  :shock:

Julian Clary was not born in Swindon, My nan is friends with his parents, apparenlty he was born near London.

So his parents are Swindon'ites, but not him?

I think his parents just live here. I think I remember my Nan saying that they used to live near each other when they lived in London. Will have to find out!

Julian Clary's parents live in Purton Stoke which is just outside Swindon.

 Its my understanding that its just his mother who lives here, he visits on occasions.....just before Christmas about 4 years ago, I was walking along Wood Street,  not really paying too much attention, when I looked up to see Clary and mum in front of me, they nipped into  Deacon's no doubt to buy something expensive.

Zoe Ball's Grandparents live in Swindon. Was chatting to them in the Crown in Stratton a few years ago, around the time of her wedding to mr FBS :mrgreen:

I hate celebrity football fans - they swan about as if they're the best fans in the clubs history or somehow know everything there is to know about the club.
