Midfielder Gooden set to retire Canvey Island midfielder Ty Gooden has left Park Lane and is to retire from the game. The former Gillingham and Swindon Town player joined his home town club Canvey in August, 2003. The 32-year-old made over 30 appearances last season to help Jeff King's side win the Rymans League. However, Gooden has been limited to just three Conference appearances since Canvey's promotion and played his last game back in August.
