Title: CHANGED YOUR MINDS YET? Post by: herthab on Friday, December 22, 2006, 11:06:27 Is it now time to step things up a little?
After reading what Mike D has said, shouldn't we begin to get more vocal in our dissatisfaction? Title: CHANGED YOUR MINDS YET? Post by: Arriba on Friday, December 22, 2006, 11:07:28 yes, and should have started weeks ago!!!!!!!!!!!
Title: CHANGED YOUR MINDS YET? Post by: jayohaitchenn on Friday, December 22, 2006, 11:20:02 protests still need to kept away from players. I suggest chants be used after the final whistle!

Why, everytime someone suggests vocal demonstration, it's immediately labelled aggresive? I'm not advocating violence!! I agree it should be kept to after the game, but with the shit thats been coming out of the club I feel that it's about time the fans voiced their opinion. Title: CHANGED YOUR MINDS YET? Post by: Simon Pieman on Friday, December 22, 2006, 11:52:25 At the moment the Orange Revolution is still seen as a bit of a rebel force, a vocal protest will only strengthen the whole rebellion thing and so in my view will make it harder for additional people to speak out. If more and more wear orange then it will be seen as a bit less of rebellious fragment of the fans and more of a legitimate protest.
Just my two pence worth. Oh, I have nothing against a vocal protest, but if you are to do it, can you please somehow make it be known that it is nothing to do with the orange revolution. Thank you. Title: CHANGED YOUR MINDS YET? Remember it only took about 50 to rid us of King so a showing of 200 odd each game should start to make them uncomfortable. Also take them up on the VIP offers and wear a nice bright Orange tie and hat in the directors box. If Mike D wants a war he can have one!! :twak: Title: CHANGED YOUR MINDS YET? it'd only mean the post-christmas sales shoppers would be confused as hell, scared and then complain to the adver about "vicious football hooligans parading through town centre stabbing children". i want to see direct action immediately, there's not really any point in dilly-dallying around now. i'll support whatever the majority decide to go with but i think we need to notch up the hostility a little. i was listening to bdp last night and this was sampled, not sure who it's from (amir might know) but i thought it was relevent... Quote History can never be made by one man; we must smash this one quickly. History is made only by the masses of the people this is clear. Even a cursory glance at the fallacious presentation of history by the American capitalist system will demonstrate just this. Take George Washington as bad as he is; put him in the middle of Valley Forge by himself surrounded by the British he can do nothing. Take Martin Luther King as righteous as he is; put him in the middle of Birmingham by himself, speaking out against racism he would be lynched. But you take this same King, you take this same Washington. Put them in Valley Forge, put them in Alabama. Surround them with thousands of people who have the same ideas they do willing to make those ideas reality and the situation changes drastically. Title: CHANGED YOUR MINDS YET? With MD out in the open it's easier to see his motivation and tactics. It's also harder for him to spin as it tends to get spotted - yesterday on the radio it was reported the Wills family appointed him General Manager of the club in 2000;
Today it's..... “My role at the club is where any board-type decisions are made by all the members of the board I would attend with everybody else. you are probably the first person that i can't see any good in at all! (and i've worked with some very difficult individuals!)- with the possible exception of mr d although looking at his dashing photo in the paper i bet he cooks a mental kebab, got knows what it would cost please come back and tell us about your charity work and services to the endangered great creasted pissheads as i don't like not liking people. returning to the thread: i think the main reason why people have not been giving it the old "sack the board" chant is down to appeals from pauld - which i agree with (dating back to when wise left and before). i'd agree with the sentiments regarding protests inside the ground but am starting to think that if a couple of hundred fans were shouting after the game he might not be able to close his ears as well as his eyes. A season ticket place counts as attendance? I am pleading ignorance here - I thought you would have had to go through the turnstiles to notch up the numbers, season ticket or not? I've paid for my ticket, regardless if I turn up or not.... Surely because season ticket holders are all paid up, the official attendence added the amount of tickets that go through onto the amount of season ticket holders. I remember when everyone boycotted wimbledon due to the MK move, they attendences still were at about 700....despite the fact there were never 700 people there because they included season tickets bought & paid for regardless if said holder turned up we might not...who knows... sonicyouth probably makes it up Title: CHANGED YOUR MINDS YET?
