May 1986, Jimmy Allan's testimonial against Chelsea.  Speedie was playing cos he didn't get selected for the Scottish World Cup squad.  Think we lost 3-2.

The following season went to Torquay home matches (one in league one in League cup I think), Notts County 1-2, on a Sunday.  All I can remember was going and sitting at the back of the North Stand, putting as many stick of chewing gum in my mouth as possible.  Happy, happy days.

My first Town game was 17th Oct 1992 Vs Notts County, we won 5-1.  I must have been 12 i thinks!

Not my first game but I was at the 5-1 demolition of Notts C. Horlock scored his first goal for us and WHAT a goal it was!

I was on the Shrivvie Road when that went in!!!  Up by the away fans, with legendary Swindon fans like Quincy, Orville and Johnny Moncur the Jambo.

the only time i have stood on the bank was in '90???? when we played Villa at home in the FA Cup. remember we were all over them but lost 2.1

i used to sit right at the top of the North Stand with my old man in my early days.

Yeah that season i went in the North stand with a mate from School.  Then i spent the whole of the premiership season on Stratton Bank.  It was wicked, especially as you had to get to the ground hours before kick-off to get a decent place!  The atmosphere was bloody electric then!

I'm coming over for the Bournemouth game to celebrate the 30th anniversary of my first Town game - I was very young for that one :wink:

First gam i can remember was when i was 7, in 1996 againsst Man City, Wayne Allison with two, cant remember the game all that much (at all in fact) though just remember goin with my dad to the game and really enjoting it.

Against Newcastle in the premiership when we drew 2-2. I was 4 I think.

I went to that... It was on my birthday! Mutch made it onto Grandstand for the rest of the season after that.

My first game was against Plymouth in 1990, I was four and remember Peter Shilton being in goal.

April 1996 away against Bradford 1-1 and Wayne Allison scored.

that was my first game too!!

i was about 7 or 8 at the time, standing at the front of stratton bank behind the goal, & my dad said I wanted to go home after about an hour! made me stay 'til the end though & have been a fan ever since!

1979 Town v Bury 8-0 yes eight, i was only a nipper so i cant really remember to much about it, 4 in the first half and 4 in the second i think

west ham at home in the prem. i was about 8, and went with the scouts/cubs/whatever the fuck they're called. 1-1 i think, but fuck knows who scored.

I was at that game, in the front row in the Town end!

My first game was March 17th 1990, Lost 3 1 at home to Hull City. I would have been 10.

Shaun Close came on for Steve White in that game according to the website!

My second game was at Wembley for the play-off final which we obviously won 1-0.

My first game was against Leicester at Home, the score was 1-1 but i cant remember who scored for us?, Steve Walsh scored their goal. :|

If it's the one I think Shaun Taylor scored for us.

And Julian Joachim got sent off for not hitting Calderwood! The linesman thought he did though.

I know it was against Vale, and I know it was early 80s. This one seems like the right one ... sat in the Town End. About the only thing I can remember is being too short (and young) to see over the hoarding (was it a wall back then?) so some fella lifted me up so I could see.

Mine was 3rd or 4th August 1993/4 ish... Digby's testimonial. 1-1 draw with Man Utd reserves. Can't really remember much about it, as I would have been 5 or 6, not even the goal scorers. :(

Have got an Adver article about it somewhere though.

I was at Digby's testimonial, my main memory was a couple of Manyoo fans near me cheering when they scored.

I remember some memorial game when a Swindon XI played a Nationwide team, is that the one you're talking about?

 Quality....first game in  Div 4....think you'd have stood in the TE.

  I recall this one as I was on a cycling holiday in the west of Ireland, but couldn't quite help myself, when push came to shove and had to pedal, get a boat and train to enjoy an appearance on the Bank in the sunshine.

That was Ty Gooden's debut, he came on as a second half substitute and put in a cross for Jan Agge to score (I think) late on.  My dad and I both proclaimed that Gooden was the real deal.

I do not know when my first game was - I'll do some research later on to try and pin-point the day my life took a turn for the worse.

4 Dec 1979 ... when we drew 1 all at Arsenal ... I was 8 at the time and didnt really pay a massive amount of attention

Also saw the replay on 11 Dec 1979 - first game at CG .. we beat Arsenal 4-3!! Classic game

Tho it was only after I moved down to Swindon from London that I became a regular in the 1981-82 season

My dad took me to Brentford at home which we lost 3-0 .. I wouldnt class myself as a fan at that stage .. this kind of occurred over the next few games I went to ...but I know I was converted by the end of that season when we beat the Scum 3-2 and Rideout hit 2 goals ... and I made a ton of money from 10p being chucked onto the Stratton bank from their fans

Sadly we went down that year .. but I was now hooked!

Then 2 years later we finished 17th in Div 4!!

I don't remember myne very well :( It was against notts county at home and we lost 2-0 and it was the days of sol davis,grazioli,invincible and griemink!Also all the fans were putting up paper during the match with roy evans out  or something.(as that was who was in charge at the time :) obviously)

I said before my first game was the 4-2 win over chester, i sat in the north stand. I sat in the same stand for yeovil this season, 4-2 again - I can the north stand calling again for Port Vale!!
