Title: Bury

Have been kicked out of the FA Cup for fielding an Ineligible player. Leeds get only fined £2,000 for fielding 6 loans players in a squad instead of 5.

Scandalous to be honest. Teams need to really look at the rules but the difference in punishment is crazy.

Link to the story on BBC.

Different crimes, ergo different punishment. Not to say I agree with the punishment dished out to Leeds (which IMHO was outrageouly leniant).

True. Obviously, Bury lose the prize money too.

Odds on Chester will beat Ipswich and get a Premiership side in the 4th Round.

This Turnbull player didn't even play in the FA Cup for Hartlepool this season which makes it more of a gutting situation for Bury.

it's a standard punishment, you lose any points gained when you field an ineligible player or any results in the Cup.  Did Leeds lose the game anyway? and they left one on the bench.

"Graham Stack, Matt Heath, Ugo Ehiogu, Tresor Kandol and Geoff Horsfield all played as Leeds lost the game [vs. Burnley] 2-1, while Tony Warner was an unused substitute."

In all honesty, I dont really care about this today Scott, nor that Johnny boy has resigned from Northampton.

To some there are more important issues going on    :(

They brought on a sub for the last 5 minutes of the game which they were winning at the time against Villa.  The bloke who came on had played for a non-league side in one of the qualifying rounds I think.  Even though it was only 5 minutes, they were made to replay the tie, which of course they ended up loosing, and therefore went out.

Same thing though really, they both played players who were ineligible to play. Its just the FA have one rule for the 'big' teams, and one for the others.

I think it was Manny Omnoyimni, who used to play for Oxford.

He'd played for the Jills in a previous round. That tie was on ITV and it was a bloody good game.

Totally agree about the big clubs. Bet Leeds would have been allowed a replay if it had been a cup game and they had won.

Fucking typical FA bullshit, seems that the small clubs always get punished more than the big clubs and it really pisses me off
