Title: Swindon-Rovers Match Day Thread
Post by: herthab on Saturday, December 16, 2006, 06:09:12
It's Saturday! Back to the Football!

If we play like we did last week against Walsall, we're gonna win easy!

However......

Being consistant is not something we're very good at.

However.....

We've won the majority of our games this season whilst not looking that impressive.

However.......

Fuck it. 3.1 win to us!!!

Changed my mind.

3.0 to us.

Morning folks. I think it'll be a draw today. I'd like to think ex-City boys Roberts and Brown are going to be well up for this one.

Rovers are in a purple patch of form. Tough game. I reckon it'll be 1-1, and hopefully an entertaining game, for once.

I can't believe it's over 6 years since Rovers last came to Town. We were shit and lost 3-1 that day (Walters played for Gas). Luckily it was the Gas that went down.

Fingers crossed we can beat them.

Walsall will drop points eventually. We've just got to focus of breaking away from the Play-Off zone.

MK vs. Wycombe was never going to be a dull match - 2-1 Dongs.

Indeed! I'd love it if we won the division, but so long as we finish in the top three and secure auto promo, thats good enough for me. Lots of football to be played yet though.

And by the way, does drinking tea from a large orange mug constitute support for the Orange Revolution, despite the fact the board can't see it.

it was a typical derby game really. quite scrappy at times and both teams putting effort in to try and forge a result. thought we defended very well today but i thought a point would have been a fair result. i thought Timlin was MOM for me. showed great passing ability at times and was a rock in the centre of midfield

WEhy did Lucas look so knackered after 20 minutes? He's only 17, should be fit as a butchers job. Shows a lot of promise and it is easy to forget he is so young at times.

I agree, people think of me as just being a kid all the time and Lukas is only 3 weeks older than me! I think the fact he played three games in a week after not exactly being a regular wll have taken its toll. And you can hardly complain considering he scored  :D

Come on Chris do you beleive anything Starnes say on Radio Swindon!

Haha ... well, in this case, I'm not surprised. If they'd done nothing they would have probably invited a fine, so they're just trying to reduce that by claiming they're doing something.

As always in these cases sod all will happen. I remember Swansea doing the same about three or four years ago and sod all happened then.

But hey, they can investigate.

They'll probably all sit down with a cup of coffee on Monday, put the video on in the boardroom, and slow-mo the bit where someone gets whacked over the head with a flying chair. They won't stop laughing for hours.
