Just a brief reminder that the next Trust members' meeting has now been set for Monday December 11th at the GW Bar on Station Rd in Swindon starting at 7.30 pm. Regular attendees please note the change of venue and that we've moved from the 1st to the 2nd Monday in the month - neither are permanent changes, just Christmas bookings meant we couldn't get our regular venue or the night we wanted. As ever, non-members are welcome to attend, so if you have a curious friend who would like to come along, please bring them.

Also, by way of an update, I'm pleased to say fans continue to vote with their feet in endorsing the moves the Trust has taken in recent weeks. At the time of writing, we now have well over 750 members, and this continues to grow (literally) by the day. So a big thank you to everyone who has helped recruit members and welcome to our newest members - congratulations, you're now part of the largest STFC fans' organisation!

I'm always up for meetings where I can get a pint. I can start my campaign for the trust presidency

I think tonights latest round of boardroom tosh has probably given me an incentive to weander down the hill for this.  With 750 members the trust is now beginning to look like a very credible force, with good backing.  out of interest chaps what membership do other trusts have, obviously this has a bearing on crowd size, but interesting to see how significant our trust is compared to other clubs.

Can we move it to Tuesday? I'll get into Swindon station at about 6 so this would be ace. Monday is no good because I have an exam the next day which at the moment I am on course to fail.

was a good meeting. Could have finished a bit earlier for more drinkage is my only complaint. Chairman Puff Diddy did a good job to be fair, although I'm not aloud to disclose the backroom fighting due to the agreement I signed before I got a lift home.

I would like to say that trust meetings need more beer breaks. and holding the meetings out side of walking range from the CG isn't on. But I understand that you can't find them and tonight was a one off.

Good meeting, very informative.  It'll be interesting to see where we go from here.

Good meeting gents, some very interesting points will be encouraging everyone I know to wear orange this coming Saturday should look quality if we get enough numbers.

Think I met Fred at last I was the guy who made one of the last points at the meeting and shook your hand as you were leaving I believe, nice to meet you.

My first trust meeting and Ifound it extremely informative. Looking forward to the redevelopment proposals. And also the more background on the consortium is probably what everyone was interested in.

Very good meeting, its the first i have been too and i must say it was very enlightening, it explained a lot and and has definatly cleared up a lot i wasnt too sure about.
The orange revolution is something i am more than happy to get involved in so im sure myself and bennett will give a hand on saturday.

Very true, bring on the orange revolution the pressure is just starting to build on them and I think its safe to say its over to us fans for the next part of the transition if we all get right behind a visual demonstration and back the consortium they will sooner rather than later have to enter negotiations.  Players, managers, chairman, directors all come and go us fans are here for good and the sooner some members of this board realise that the better!!

Fred unfortunately this has come at a bit of a bad time for me, just had some exams today so been focussing on them on the whole in the last week, however I'll be speaking to the Adver tomorrow so hopefully they can do a nice story about the revolution so more town fans find out about it pre saturday.

I know that Paul is also putting out the feelers with some other papers.

Yes I'd agree with that if we get some big publicity then it can only help, if Saturday goes well and theres a sea of Orange cant see there being too much of a problem getting pictures in the press.

Wasnt meant as any form of critisism Rob, its just the whole consortium thing has got the swell of public opinion now and I said at the last Trust board meeting that we need to harness that and "ride the wave" so to speak.

I know the Adver are in a difficult position and must be seen to be neutral and impartial but there are ways and means in my opinion.

There are some hard facts flying about out there that the local media are well aware of, and I for one would dearly love to see a little bit of balls.

We can wait and wait for countless spin from SN1 but there will come a time where action speaks loudest.

Mark my words I will be the first in the queue at the gates of CG  when that day arrives

I don't think there will be much of a sea of Orange on Saturday due to most of the t-shirts not arriving, ive seen the amount of crap were getting through at work and i for one am not hopeful of getting mine before Saturday.

I'd say the next Home game after Rovers will be the BIG day of Orange t-shirts around the CG.  8)

I did briefly consider the Sainsburys fleece option but realised I'd look a right plonker. Definately the right choice of colour, a year or so ago when we played Bristol City in a 7.45ko (possibly in the LDV) there was a bloke on the bank in a sainsburys fleece and he stood out like a sore thumb.

Instead, I'm going for a slightly less obvious dark orange t-shirt, which will probably be covered by a jacket or two if the weather is anything like it was last saturday. Still...I'll be joining in, in spirit.
