I have joined the trust today and fully support them and their bid to oust these idiots from the club.

This board are a disgrace, it wouldn't surprise me if they blocked this consortium from taking over and didn't even talk to them.

I think that if this consortium doesn't take over because the board block it then we really do need to force this board out once and for all.

I think if this board remain in control much longer then us fans need to do something about it and force them to hand over control of the club, we would need massive protests after every home game, get loads of people to bombard the board with emails and put stuff in the local papers and on BBC Radio Swindon and do everything we can.

This club will go bust in june unless the consortium take over because if this board cannot even pay £100k then they have no chance of paying £900k then.

My opinion is that the board could be pocketing all the money such as the parkin/fallon/bryan adams/wise & poyet compo money as they might be trying to get as much money out of the club as they can before the club goes under, they already know that the club might fold in June so they are trying to get as much money back as possible before then, they might be idiots but they are not that stupid!!

We need to do something now before it is too late!!!!!!

It's seem's very strange that after getting all this money we cannot pay a £100k CVA payment!! and the board's failure to produce accounts is not very convincing either, they obviously have something to hide and they are very scared of people finding out the truth, something dodgy is going on at our club therefore the sooner they are gone the better!!!!!

I am convinced that Bill Power is the mystery backer and he is behind this consortium, it makes sense, i may be wrong but i think there could be something in it!!

I'm not. Falling out of the sky kind of gives you a different perception of life I'd imagine.

It's the end for this board, it's game over, it's time for them to hand over to the consortium who will take this club forward rather than backwards like this board have, the only good thing this board has done is appointed Sturrock as manager!!

I wonder who the mystery buyer is though??? it could be anyone, there is a chance it could be Power but who knows!!

It's obvious that the board are going to try very hard to block this consortium bid, they don't want to hand over control to anyone, i think we may have to force them out of town before the consortium take over.

The board i feel are hiding alot of things and don't want anyone to find out, like i said above my opinion is that they have been pocketing most of the profits as they know the club's going under in June unless someone comes in at the last minute, they are probably robbing us constantly until there is nothing left!!!

There is no way that all the bryan adams money/fallon/parkin/wise & poyet compo/O'hanlon money could all just disappear theres alot of money from all that lot and where's it all gone???? the board cannot explain and won't explain where it's all gone because it's probably gone in their pockets!! that's why they are too scared to show the club's accounts!!

Wills said he had invited Power to take over ownership of the club, to which he declined, and Holt insists any realistic takeover would be welcomed.

I dont want to get into a big arguement for or against the board, but for fucks sake - WE HAVE THE £100K and did have when it was needed!!!

This whole issue is not about the ABILITY to pay the £100K it is about the CHOICE not to pay it when it was originally deemed payable - which from what I understand it, was on the advice of the administrator suggesting it could be rolled into the final payment!

Now dont get me wrong, if we could have paid it then in my mind we should have, but if we are not paying interest on it and it is possible to delay without penalty the repayment of said sum of money, why not hold onto it for some months and EARN sme interest on it to help towards to the rest of the final payment???

Still would have paid it when originally arranged myself, but in amongst some of the obvious shambles this board are making of the job, there does seem to be some reasoning behind their actions and it does annoy the fuck out of me that some fans can eb so single minded from their armchairs when they dont know all the facts.

We are all speculating and dont know the full facts, so either put up in the shape of investment of your own, join the trust or shut the hell up IMO!

Sadly Sharky we don't know that we have the £100k, do we? All we have is the assurances that we do from the same people who told the AGM they'd paid it - this thing of "we've got it but chosen not to pay it" was the line of defence they dropped back to when that turned out to be untrue. And given this isn't the first time that it turns out that payments have been missed or winding-up orders crawl out of the woodwork immediately after AGMs or fans' forums have been told all the finances are in order, I think it's wholly understandable if most fans treat this latest "No really we are telling the truth this time" statement with healthy doses of salt. Who knows they may actually be telling the truth on this one? But for me the track record is not encouraging and I don't want to wait until the club's been liquidated to find out that this was another whopper. What we do know is that the board by their own admission do not have the funds to pay the really important "shit or bust" £900k in a little over 6 months, yet won't engage in serious negotiations with people who do. Best interests of the club? Or just self-interest?

An important point indeed, and more than likely the reason behind the mistrust.

If we could answer that question simply, then the answers or trust in the board would be swayed heavily one way or the other.

Regardless of whether it is truth or not, the only way forward is to produce an alternative so good luck to the consortium if this is to be the way forward, if not then I hope whoever takes the reigns is put into power on their ability to do the job as opposed to just having the money!
