hmmm, very mature. It's my opinion on the matter, we need an investor not a bunch of fans trying to take over a club. look whats happening to Brentford.

look whats happening to Brentford.

They've finally got rid of Ron Noades, the ground's secure, they're a stable business for the first time in ages .....

Or look what happened to Lincoln - within an ace of going under 3 years ago, in the first season of two Trust reps on the board, they turned a massive debt into £750k profit

Or look what's happened to Carlisle....

Or look at how badly Charlton have done with a Supporter Director....

No-one's claiming having fans involved in running a club is a magic wand - it doesn't suddenly usher us into a land of milk and honey where we automagically surge into our deserved place in the InterToto (Europe's answer to the LDV), but having fans involved in running the club can and does make a big difference (accurate accounts and AGMs for one thing!). But fair dos beckett you're entitled to your views and if you choose not to join the Trust, then that's your choice. But don't dismiss what we're trying to do out of hand.

Yeah, that's a good idea. Do fuck all. What a fucking moron. If EVERYONE did everything they could, then it WOULD make a difference. Cunts like you piss me off. Do whatever you can do.  If you love this club. If you don't, fuck off and spout pointless shit on somebody else's forum.

OUR CLUB IS IN CRISES.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

STAND UP AND BE COUNTED.

It's often mentioned how fans can't raise the funds etc.  However, consider this:

Every season the fans collectively give the club over £2.5m, some seasons over £3m.

Over the past 15 years (approx time SSW has been aorund helping us out) we've put in over £35m

On our own we may feel helpless, as a collective we are actually able to provide siginificant resource.

If the club was in some way owned by us we'd probably be even more inclined to invest in it, raising that level of collective wealth inout every year.

Just think how much you have personally spent on football and all it's trappings in the last 5 years alone, then consider 5000 other people doing the same, then consider 5000 more who could be persuaded under a multitude of circumstances to give it a bash as well.  Then tell me the fans can't make a change.

Also, not forgetting the RAF fund bringing in players, the supporters club paying most years to send the kids to the Milk Cup and the Trust at one point paying part of the training ground lease....and developing the new stadium plans

yep, utter nothing

There used to be a well crap ad of a belly dancer which went with this...some bint mysteriously crooning Fry's Turkish Delight.

Any views yet as to when membership is likely to pass the magic 1000 mark?  The PR opportunity when that happens will be huge.

Well, we're up to 760+, but I don't want to offer any hostages to fortune by saying "We'll pass 1000 by x". To be honest, I think we're all delighted with where we are, never mind reaching 1000 - having gone from just under 200 to nearly 4 times that in a space of a couple of months I think is a ringing endorsement by the fans of what we've been doing and the stance we've taken. The board can blather and BS all they like but fans have been voting with their feet - hopefully we'll see a very visual demonstration of that on Saturday with a sea of orange against Rovers.
