i'm for an area for the smokers to smoke.but not the concourses.
and i wouldn't have implemented a ban mid season either.i think its unfair on season ticket holders who smoke

As far as I know it will be ok to smoke outside.

In scotland and New York, smokers congregate outside bars and restaurants so should be ok.

tbh, I'm a smoker and I reckon I can last 105 mins without smoking. Extra time and penalties would be a bit of a struggle though!

Which is precisely the point that all supporters groups made to them on Monday when they met the club - but the club decided to ignore the consultation with fans and go ahead anyway, citing the "evidence" of a vote on the website which most people couldn't find much less vote in.

Exactly (erm, except this is a unilateral ban, I think you mean a natiownide ban imposed by the government 6 months later) so why jump the gun and risk alienating smokers and especially some of the older fans now when they could wait 6 months and blame the govt? And what's the point of consulting fans' groups if they're then going to ignore that? The blame lies in the way they've gone about it.

i dont like smoking so im all for it. but i can see why smokers are pissed off. having to leave the ground just to have a fag is stupid and must be quite annoying.

fatbury, hate to break it to you, murder is "banned" or against the law so to speak, but people decide to take no notice and do it anyway, hence the same will be done with the none smoking, how you can use the 2 in comarison with one another is beyond me mind.

smoking passes are all well and good but you can't exactly leave mid-game to pop outside for a fag can you? at least designated smoking areas would give people the option to smoke whilst watching the game without bothering non-smokers.

and i can still get away with sitting on just one seat at the ground still, allthought a second does come in handy sometimes, unlike that lincoln fan who used 3 maybe 4 seats

I personally don't like people smoking around me too much, but I think completely banning it is a load of authoritarian crap. If people want to do it then that's their choice.

I dont agree with banning it in the first place. But if it's going to be countrywide thing, well there's not much anyone can do anyway, is there?

I can see people getting well annoyed at having to get up and down during matches so that smokers can get a nicotine fix. Maybe the club could just ban smoking in the ground, full stop.  That way no one would have to worry about it anymore and no one would be too inconvenienced apart from those who the ban is aimed at.

If people want to smoke, do it before and after the match.

Unfortunately it's not that easy, especially when watching Swindon.
