Awarded a penalty even though the lad fell over & missed 2 blatent handballs (1 in the area!) & 2 blatent shoves in the back on Jamie Ward! Also made some truely shocking decisions when it came to corners & throw ins too! Ref Danny McDermid is a w**ker!! From what I've seen, it looked like a penalty to me. Am I on my own here? I also thought that Robertson lads dive was cringeworthy.. You knew he was going to do it when the ball was played into him. It does make our victory taste that much sweeter though. Torquay ahven't scored a league goal since september, over 700 mins (i think I read) maybe aside from having a go at us they should contemplate that they have the problem?

I didn't think the ref was any worse than some of the others folks have encountered. Fact is - if they look at the handball incidents you have to decide whether they were deliberate which they are not... also whether they'd have accepted that decision going against them. Not fucking likely - it would have been brushed aside with "you win some you lose some". Swindon will have those decisions against us this season and it will go in favour of the opposition... That's football. Peacocks was a definite penalty, their defender has gone straight through the back of him. The ref played 7 and 1/2 minutes of injury time and also gave bad decisions for both teams. To be fair to Torquay it was nice of them to turn up for 90 minutes of their saturday, not that they made themselves heard or anything during the game!

In a lot of the games this year I've come away thinking the ref had a shocker but made mistakes on both sides.
As fort eh "I can't believe they're near the top" view, I thought that about MK, Lincoln, Wycombe and I expect I'll say it about a few more clubs this year. As for being the most hated team, I should think so too. :) In the 1990s we were voted the 19th hated club in England. That was the envy of our local rivals, and div1 clubs like Wolves who thought we were a poxy small club who got success (ie Premier league promotion) whilst they languished in the football league year after year with 25000+ averages!
