Title: Franchise tickets...
Post by: Tails on Monday, November 20, 2006, 11:58:26
We've only got 900 for this one, which seems ridiculous to me as we could take a load more than that. I also thought it was required for teams to give away fans at least 15% of the capacity of the stadium, which means we should be given at least 1,350 tickets. Will they give us more if they start selling fast?

On the brightside, we've been allocated 3000 for Walsall, which is a massive allocation, it'd be very nice to take half of that bearing in mind how massive a match it could be.

I think we'll take over 2000 to Walsall..Or I'd like to think so. If we keep up the good results it could be a 1st V 2nd affair. Will be a tough game though they still havent conceded a goal at home.

2 wins on the bounce between now and then and I think 1500-2000 would be a fair shout.  Easy run up to their ground.

I'd be disappointed if we don't take at least 2,000 to Walsall, im currently trying to get as many people as possible to come along.

I think it'll be a good turn out (2,000) at Warsaw too, particually as others have said if we put a couple of results together before then.

Remember we took 4,000 to Reading not so long ago didn't we? I know Reading is closer, new ground etc, but considering the importance of this game I'd be dissapointed and surprised with anything less than 2,500 in Poland. Like has been said above, it's a piece of piss to get to.

Historically we have a terrible record at both Fellows Park and The Bescot...maybe its time to change that.

I spoke to the Chris at the club today and he said he was going to see if we can request more tickets for New Years.

Can someone confirm when this kicks off?

If it's 12 then I'm fucked. I'll realistically not make it for a 3-er on NYD but at least there's half a chance

Sold a few I think, there was people buying them when I was getting my Torquay ticket.

Still over a month to go yet.

Me and Johno have ours booked. I actually have to go to the County Ground to pick them up though which is a pain considering I go to school during the week and work Saturdays! Plus its about 1.5 hours round trip for me in the car.

But hey-ho we will be there! Can't go to Poland because of work though!

Focus on Walsall lads. I want to hear about Town fans taking over. Taking the piss! Could be a special day. They probably look like a better team than us, but Sturrocks a winner and Im sure we can win ugly up there.

Il be in Perth by then so Il have to see if I can find a 24hour internet connection to listen to it.

Walsall looked very average against macclesfield and word was that was how the last couple of games have gone for them.  Very similar to our run where we looked anything but good yet we managed to win by the odd goal.  I'd imagine it being a battle of attrition with few chances (cue a 4-3 thriller).

Given the Torquat attendance I'd say 2000 at Walsall and selling the allocation for MkDonalds

I just suspect that many people think of Torquay as a nice day out at the seaside, Walsall doesn't quite hold the sme attraction despite the top of the table look of the fixture.

Would the club be wise to really try and encourage as many fans to travel as possible, it would be fantastic to take 2K plus, really reinforcing ourselves as by far the best supported club in the league.

I think the top of the table thing will be enough pull..That and Walsall is piss easy to get to.

in my defence, I wasnt supposed to go on that holiday and I didnt book that holiday.

A mate dropped out and I had enough holiday left at work. All I missed was a 1-1 draw with Port Vale, a 3-0 defeat to Barnsley, a 4-0 defeat to Boston and a 2-1 defeat to Peterborough.

Still made Rotherham though  :D
