when people are busy and therefore need someone else to do their work.

They try to hand this down and certain members of my team claim they are 'too busy' to do this extra work....and I always end up doing it.

Hopefully in the long run, it will show how helpful towards others I am, but its annoying.

There was only two of us in the office early. Phone next to other person rings..once...twice...three times...4 times....look over, other person is writing an outlook to a mate.

I answer phone blah blah

Another phone rings, once, twice etc...again other member of staff outlooking friend, I answer phone

Another phone goes, I think to myself like fuck am I answering that...leave it....leave it...other member of staff outlooking mate...no one answers phone, so we've got one of our important contractors in...sitting in reception needing someone to sign him in but no ones answered the bloody phone. Luckily I was heading up to the shop and saw him waiting.

fucking annoying...

You've fucked yourself up there, you've obviously got a reputation as the muppet who'll answer the phones. Are you looking for work to do at your job?

Haha, that'll never happen DV. In my experience, management never look at it that way, and will just abuse your 'good nature' even more. I don't give a shit about management anymore, I do what my Customer wants me to deliver, 'cause at the end of the day, he is at the sharp end. Trust me on this one.

I'm with DV on this actually - I have been in my job for 2 and a half years now and my salary has near tripled for being the one that will go the extra mile for the team.

Went from dogsbody to somebody and up to management within a year and now sitting pretty getting everyone else to do the work.  Love it!

Keep it up DV you'll get there!!

Nah, it's gotta be more than that. IIRC, the legal minimum for a riot is 12, so I'd say that's a good starting point for a mob. Six is more of a cafuffle.

Its not the mangement that are taking advantages, no one is really. I just find more people ask me to do some extra work because they know I will get it done and not kick up a fuss about being asked to do it!

Today grr...got in at half 8, other person in at 11?! goes for lunch at 12 back at 1:30...at half time I saw im going up to the atrium to do some paper work...its quieter more space and I've been at my desk all day (half 8 till half 2, getting up once to pee) then after my been as the desk all day comment

the other person says 'ahaha that work isnt it'

and what time did you stroll in today!

in at 11 hour and a half for lunch then gone at half 4.....and question me leaving my desk for an hour to do some fucking paper work.

and it got cut short because Ops rang and no one else knew how to the fix the issues, despite one of the 3 people into today being a 2.1 core and being on the on call rota

ffs  :x

I'm asking for a pay rise on Monday

as for the lynch mob, bring it on you stupid mother fuckers I will kill you all bitches!
