was just going to post on this. i reckon he must have depression or something, pretty sad. poor bloke.

He may get homesick being away from friends and family, this could trigger off his depression.  Shame really.

Cant see how they can pick him for England again. The India no show was more excusable, the sausages are shit out there. But I bet the Aussies have some decent bangers.

One of our best batsmen, and one of the few players we had left who the Aussies had respect for. But like I said, that it now, he was lucky to get away with walking away with it last time. Il miss him though.

Actually my experience of bangers in Oz, even kangaroo sausages, were pretty poor, surely an England team butcher would solve all our problems?

I never made it to perth but if it's like other big Aussie cities they tend to have an awesome range of foreign cuisine reflecting the international background the country's immigrant population has to offer.

Vaughan back at his best i.e 2002/03 would be brilliant. Talking to a mate about vaughan at college last year. My mate said he has the best cover drive in the business.

idiotic comments saying he should never be allowed to play for england again are just miles off the mark though, he's been our most consitant run scorer for 2 years prior to india when it all kicked off.

depression can be a serious problem, and as you've often harped on about it, you should know.

my point was that if he's suffering from depression, he should be getting treatment for it just like you would with any other illness - travelling halfway round the world to play in what is a huge tournament which will undoubtedly lead to highly stressful situations is not a great thing to do.

In all fairness i hope he gets through what he's going through but surely he should have said before flying out to Australia!?, thus letting someone else having a place and getting mentally prepared for the 1st Test.

I agree Spuddy,this is the problem i have with it,it just doesn't help the team!Having said that i guess it would have been worse if he'd pulled out mid-way through the tour so he must take some credit for admmitting he can't do it at the moment.I think my comments yesterday were too harsh on the bloke,but i think a lot of it was dissappointment that a class act such as Banger  won't be in the side :(

I really sympathise with Tresco , I have been in the same sort of situation and tried to play through it in a vain hope that it will concentrate your mind and believe me it doesnt work . Cut the fella some slack and let him deal with things in his own way .

I can't believe the reactions of some of you England cricket "supporters".  FFS this guy has a serious illness and needs support from all in times like this.  Fucking hell cricket is just a game you know there are more important things in life.

So what if he thought I'll give it a go (by going on the tour) and it's backfired, least he fucking had a try.  

All the best Tresco, hope what ever the problem is, you manage to overcome as he's been a good player for England over the years.  I'd hate to play for a team supported by some of you wankers!

I heard an absolute beauty at work tonight, the 'stress' related illness is down to the fact that Tres' wife is screwing someone else whilst he was away in India.

Funny enough that would get me stresed as well .
