Title: Cheap Dell PCs
Post by: mattboyslim on Thursday, November 9, 2006, 16:53:36
For all IT clever types, I'm looking for a cheap PC, and perhaps due to persistent adverts it looks like Dell are a good bet.  I know very little about processors etc but want to do some net surfing, gambling etc cheap and reliable are my prime concerns, but this looks OK, any opinions, is athalon any good, or pentiums etc?

cheers chaps.

My sister just bought a Dell for £490 and it's superb.

No idea on spec but it has a 19 inch monitor and is very fast for surfing the net!

Dont go for dell, they arent that great, i work with them day in day out and i cant stand the fuckers, your best bet is to get one built, if your local give a guy brian at pc medic a bell (01793 433300)
www.pcmedic.co.uk i think or .com.
His shop is by the wssmith warehouse just off greenbridge.

Pop in and see him, tell him what you want and he will sort it out for ya he's very well priced aswell.

As I always say. Don't buy a Dell. They're great at first, but then the problems creep in. They're actually not good value for money either.

And I have a Dell laptop, so I should know. When I get the funds I'm going to build my own pc.
