I guess this goes a way to show why he was so well liked at other clubs, certainly knows how to pull the right strings.  Could we make him Chairman and CE as well?

Thought exactly the same when I read it, so positive about this appointment everything he says is a breath of fresh air.  Cant remember the last time we were referred to as the most important thing in the club.  Plus dont know about anyone else but its good to move away from the Wise era when we were called punters, stupid dwarf cunt.

In my oppinion you should do something to have more forums with players , scouts , managments....Why don't you suggest on Thursday it would be more often with diffrent guests....The Swindon managment should organize the meetings with old stars and so on....In that way the club tradition is cultivating and never die...If club forget about fans , the fans forget about club...Simple

So how many do we reckon will show? these are always pretty poorly attended because theres so many out-of-towners....plus, other than saying 'peacock works hard' and 'can we sign a finisher' and 'teach Ricky to cross' whats there to say to Sturrock only a week in?

 Bartek.....has your scouting for potential Polish players chanced upon Chris Zebroski , who is now playing for Millwall......he's Swindon born, so I'm guessing its a Polish name.

 I first saw him when I coached in local youth football and he played against my son....he then ended up at Plymuff via Cirencester....I think he was fired out from Plymuff for a scrap with a team mate.....so naturally moved to Millwall.

Fair play, not only informative, but reasonably entertaining too.  Still have to marvel at the array or stupid and/or repetitive question the general public have the capacity to produce.

If the club fully harnesses the desire of Sturrock I get the impression we'll be OK, on the other hand I'm slightly worried he's not fully aware of the 'politics' of the club.  He might be the ideal mediator in meetings between Newbury and that nasty man Paul D.

Yep...Very good move of Sturrock....People should identify with the team...If they supported Swindon when they were children , they wiill leave more heart on the pitch , because they play for club they felt in love in childhood...
