I need to get some ideas of numbers for booking the wheels.

Who is up for it?

Should be about a tenner each all in (petrol, hire, all the booze you can drink).

Anyway - a few more details:

Route will be something like West Swindon, CG, Stratton, Faringdon, Didcot, Abingdon, Bicester, MKD.

That should help a few peeps on a bleary New Year's Day morning?

If kick off is 3:00pm we could leave Swindon about 9:00am I guess to get to MK for 12:00pm pub (including piss stops).

We'll be looking at £12 a head I think (don't forget that includes booze), but I will have to check the latest minibus pricing.

Macca, at the pace of our journeys you may not make it back until the next day.  It took as 4 hours to get to Bristol City last season, needless to say we stock up on the beer.  Note to self, less girls drinks this time and must remember not to start on everyone in the mini bus (at least not the bigger people).

A minibus has 17 seats (inc driver), so we should probably fill at least two up again.

Just checked out the minibus.

There are two available for New Year's Day but the man said to book 'em up quick as the pubs hire them for NYE...we would have to get them NYE as they won't be open the following morning.

As it is there is a 50% loading because he will have to pay for somebody to come in on the Sunday and sort us out.

red macca, yes it includes beer.  I'm guessing, based on rough maths we'll have the equiv of about 240 bottles of Kronie (example) included in the price, so about 7-8 each I think, depending on consumption leves.

I brought along my own 2 litre bottle of Vodka and Orange last time (i had a bottle of Vodka going spare) and most people bring along some etxras of their own.

I think they are only going to give us that small stand that straddles the halfway line - holds about 900 - on good authority that they have done this for every team (including Spurs) - so tickets will be at a premium

I think Alan is coming up with the payment requirements PDQ.  I'd guess it will be all ticket and we'll sell the allocation so it will be a case of moving quickly.  Still, if I miss out on a ticket I think I'll still tag along :D

We only have 950 allocated and 500 of them had gone by last Saturday.

I also need to sort out pick ups. We can do West Swindon/North Swindon, CG, Greenbridge/Stratton, Faringdon, Wantage, Didcot, Abingdon, and Oxford. I've noted the pick up points in the list above that I know about (although some more detail on whereabouts in e.g. Didcot would be handy ;-), if anybody else wants picking up anywhere else apart from the CG, please can you reply or PM me. Timings will be based on leaving the CG at 9am.

NOTE - PAYMENT

£15 a head includes fuel, hire and all the booze you can drink on the way there and back.

I will start collecting this Saturday at the Morecambe game. I will be in the CGH before the match and in the Town End during. Catch me at either or in the car park afterwards. My mobile is 07765 411 604, so call or text me to find me and cross my palm with the folding stuff.

If you're not going on Saturday then there's a good chance I will be at Walsall. Your last chance will be Rovers at home on the following Saturday. If you haven't paid by the 16th then I can't guarantee you a seat.

On the L&P Forum Paul has suggested picking up at the railway station in Didcot as it's pretty central and convenient.

Either Didcot Station or Abingdon would be fine with me.  I presume Sussex will be with me.
