Title: How screwed were we...
Post by: Summerof69 on Sunday, November 5, 2006, 19:22:56
in 1990.

After the two people who made 'a significant inprovement on their football club' (they rose from the Unibond league to the FL)via illegal activities gets only suspended sentances for their non-payment of £323k in tax, which included their old chairman and their current manager, Boston virtually got scot free with a four point penalty a few years ago.

Non payment of £323k in tax meant they illegally paid their players over £1m in illegal payments over 5 years, while we got caught with paying our players illegal payments a total of £110k.

No-one has been done like we were yet Chelsea, Spurs, Chesterfield, Macclesfield as well as Boston, and in the summer Sheffield Wednesday were said in the early 90's paid their players over £1m of illegal payments around the time of our demotion, but has been conveniently been swept under the carpet because it implicates a certain Dave Richards, who is high up in the FA and the Premier League.

We have been consistently screwed the the FA and the FL, ever since we weren't allowed to playin Europe after our League Cup win.

All very true.....we were screwed big time by the FL, because at the time they were trying to keep the whole thing together, a new CE Arthur Sandfird wanted to show he could wield a big stick in the job.   We happened to be caught at teh wrong time for Leage politics......as we know they failed to keep the league together anyway.

Without a shadow of a doubt. it was and remains the biggest injustice in the history of football - FACT!

I agree mostly. However another one to rival this injustice is that somehow, Ricky Shakes is described as a professional footballer

Absolutely shocking!

I seem to remember one of the previous boards were talking about a legal challenge for loss of income due to the demotion,as other clubs had not been equally harshly punished.

I wonder whether we'd have a case?

Surely worth a try. We have hardly go tanything to lose have we!!!

As long as we get the correct facts and figures in place we have a decent argument, especially when so many other clubs have got away with doing exactly the same thing.

Our club doesn't have the facts and figures from 2 years ago let alone 16.

There was a massive collection of money to mount a legal challenge....mysteriously it disapeared
