Title: don't drop yourself adi
Post by: DMR on Saturday, November 4, 2006, 19:38:41
because nicho wasn't very good and he can't help ifil like you can... and without your guidance ifil showed what a moron he can be

never mind the experience argument etc, the reason adi shouldn't be manager (other than going a bit mental with his starting line up and subs) is that he's easily our best player

I like the way Williams hid in the dugout when they went 2-1 up.

He was warming up on the touchline from the opening minute, doing stretches :?

I thought nicholas did ok today. Smith was the worst of the back 4, mainly because shakes in front of him was wandering around like a chicken with no head

smith was the best player on the pitch today and has been for most of the season.

ifil returned to his usual self without ady alongside him, nicho didn't have a bad game though.

jerel's mistake for the first goal was a cardinal sin though. extremely foolish.

Smith is wasted a right back, if we had another right back id be tempted to stick Smith on the wing.

Ifil and Nicholas are both good players, but they dont work well together.....they just dont.

They've done OK in partnership before.

It doesn't matter who Jerel is with if he is having one of his regular walkabout days.

possibly, but it does leave you wondering *if* williams was playing instead of Nicholas would Ifil have had one of his walkabout days.

Ifil is a good player, just almost needs someone to be his brain....Nicholas cant do this....and at his age I dont expect him to.

I expect this is the reason Wise bought Williams in, in the first place...

as partners for williams, both are excellent.

however, without the experience of williams alongside jerel barking out orders, ifil tends to have a "walkabout day" as you put it.

nicho simply isn't vocal or experienced enough to keep jerel in check and frankly, as dv says, i don't expect him to be at his age.

i do wonder whether it's worthwhile playing three at the back to accomodate them, smith is capable of playing right wingback but i'm not convinced vincent would offer enough going forwards.

Doh!!

We'll just have to put up with it until the January sales ... Ifil will be off to the championship then :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick:

Must be Nicho's fault then. How useless he is  for going up front on the set piece and leaving Jerel on his own at the back (with Vincent). Fancy expecting him to read the game and make a decision.

well seen as you think Jerel goes walkabouts alot, he should have sent Jerel forward and stayed back himself.

If Ifils walkabouts are regular, they you should be able to see them coming, no?

Manager organises the set pieces in training. Blame Williams.

Not a lot you can do about Ifil falling asleep when you're half the pitch away. Perhaps they should both stay back?

Perhaps they fucking should. Just because your boy doesn't have the foresight to see a breakaway situation on the cards doesn't make it all Ifils fault.

Seriously Santini, Nicho isn't starting unless Adi drops out because he's the worst centre half out of the current lot. I'd have him in at LB any day but stop slating everyone else because Andy is actually an error-prone mongo alot of the time. Great clearance off the line after the Hereford second Andy!!!!!

I know we'll all favour our next of kin but yours has rapidly declinded. I think Nicho could be one of our most important players if he got his act trogether. Perhaps have a word with him as to why he's gone from impeccable to fucking rubbish in 20 months, as opposed to slagging off a proven higher-level defender?

Title: don't drop yourself adi
Post by: DMR on Sunday, November 5, 2006, 03:08:39
thats irrelevant.

played more this season? adi
experience of higher levels? adi
made considerably less errors in ratio to nicho? adi
makes ifil play better alongside him? adi
club captain? adi
deemed ggod enough to assume temporary management? adi

yep, on reflection lets pick nicho at centre half. one 5 minute perios last week changes everything. thank god you spotted it arriba, adi is obviously a waste of space

Tempers fraying....Nicho's come on this season after 2 years of wondering what his role was in the squad - now we know he's a contender at centre back, but the first choice pair has to be Jerel and Ady because both have been solid this season. So's Nicho, but Jerel's pace and Adi's leadership and all-round game make them the best pairing, for me.

I think most of us would have Nicho in over Vincent though - I hope Sturrock (assuming he's ours) likes his fullbacks to get forward and overlap. Wise didn't. I love it when your fuyll back has the guts to get ahead of your winger and whip balls into the box. Sign that Eboue, he'll be a player one day
