He's a striker/Attacking midfielder who has been playing on the wing, of late.....give him a chance.
I'd like to see him play the attacking midfield role again, like he did against Barnet.

So how does anyone know that hes this great natural finisher thats hes supposed to be?

His touch is hardly inspiriing playing on the wing..average journey man player nothing less nothing more.

because he played there in pre-season and scored about 5 goals, I know it was against shit opposition but you still have to be able to finish

Plus, his extremely well taken goal at Wycombe

Bollocks I could score goals against Cirencester.

and yes the Wycombe goal was super but so what any number of players can score the odd stunner.

You are probably right I'll rephrase it

Bollocks even Alan Young could score goals against Cirencester.

the goals he scored in pre-season were placed finishes, the sort of goals strikers should score but roberts, peacock and onibuje can't.

weaker opposition, undoubtedly - but how do we know he's not capable of scoring unless we play him up front?

it's not as if we're going to be dropping anyone in goalscoring form.

The goal against Barnet justifies his position in the first XI for the rest of the season....

Oh ok... mebbe he's a bit poo.

every team he had trials for turned him down.both managers this season who happen to see him train everyday have decided he is not a striker .

ady's not going to change a winning formula though, so effectively it's just the one manager.

i don't understand why wise played him on the wing when he played as a striker in pre-season and he's played there all his career previously.

personally, i've seen enough of him that suggests to me he's worth a go.

His one attribute may be that he can hit the back of the net when in the right positions - so purely for that I reckon he's worth a shout unless Peacock and Roberts start firing. Saying that....midfielders score the ghoals in Sturrock's sides.

fuck sake, give him a bloody chance

He's hardly played this season and everyones writing him off in this thread and complaining about the lack of goals in another.

You cant judge Brownlie on what you've seen so far because you havent seen enough and you havent seem him play upfront in a league game

I'm not saying he will be the answer to our goal scoring problem, but surely he is worth on a go on the basis, he's already scored two and he's already on our books so we wont have to splash out to bring him in

Winning formula that's seen us lose the last two and only score one goal?

killing the ball with one touch and hammering it home with the second at wycombe was a bit good

yes his distribution has been poor but the rest of our team seem intent on booting it out of play/to the opposition so whats different there?

I have been thinking awhile now that it might be time to give Fola and Brownlee the chance up front.
Peacock did seem to play better when Roberts went off and certainly should have had at least one penalty.
I also thought we played some good football at times but we really must learn to finish off teams. :old:

With the peaconator ill, and fola fucked off looks like he will get the chance that some of you so crave.

cant help but think lukas timed his hattrick very well too

I'd prefer Lukas to Brownlie.  I think Brownlie is over rated by many seems sluggish and lazy when ever I've seen him.

Cant deny though it was a good finish at Wycombe - maybe he just needs some guidance and to only play up front for a while.

It surely cant be helpful that he gets pulled onto the wing to play when he is clearly better as a striker

how can you call Brownlie 'a pile of shite', 'lazy, sluggish' etc

you havent even seem him play upfront ffs
