If he has gone for reasons to do with the board - (ie lack of finances due to the departure of Power), then i dont mind.

However if he has departed simply because Leeds are a bigger club, then whilst i can understand the reasonings behind his decision, he publically stated at the start of the season that he wanted to manage a basement league club and to get to learn the ropes of the club.  In which case i think hes a lieing bastard and a cunt.

However all in all, hes done a top job for Town, has got us near the top of the table, and given us a fighting chance of returning to league 1.  Best of luck to Wisey  :D

I agree with Asher 99% of managers/people would have done one. Its ridiculous for anyone to expect loyalty these days and that cuts both ways.

It also serves as a testament to Devlin that he agreed to get the set-up sorted for Wise and delivered.  Yes it costs more than mediocrity, but again, 10 years of paying wages to shit players suggests we weren't really aware that average players under professional management can achieve more.

I disliked Dennis Wise with a passion before he came to this club. Although from afar, I have witnessed nothing short of a revolution on the playing side of my beloved club with him and Gus in charge. Admittedly, the board room is still in the same shambolic state it was 4/5 years ago, but thats for another thread or 10.

I'm too stunned to be angry and call him a CUNT, because I can sort of understand the reason why he would want to walk away from this shambolic (but lovable) club. I can see the attraction of managing a club like Leeds, despite their precarious league position, over Swindon. But do I like it - No I bloody well don't, but we have to move on. Lets just hope Dennis and Gus have left a legacy which future managers, whoever they may be, pay attention to, because whatever he did seemed to be working on the pitch.

I just hope for two things:

1. Most importantly, we continue to do the things on the pitch that we've been doing all season, and get promoted. I don't care whether its automatic or through the playoffs.

2. Leeds crash and burn and I would like nothing more for us to be playing them in League 1 next season.

In the meantime, I'm going for a beer (or 6) and some sushi!

We are the biggest club in this league (a look at the average attendances bare that out) and would, I believe be there or thereabouts whoever was in charge. I have remained underwhelmed by our performances this season, our efforts at Shrewsbury were frankly embarrasing at times (constant time wasting, falling over, shit passing, sitting too deep) and not for the first time were lucky to win. I applaud Dennis's work ethic for sure, but he's hardly a tactical genius. Once things settle down I don't honestly think we'll miss him that much.

My concern however is with Christian.  Wise and Poyet seemed to take him under their wing and things started to look up.  I just hope that he can pick himself up and get on with it however I think it may not be the case.

For what its worth, when he said he was here to do a job he had a competent management team in Devlin, Mike Sullivan and financial backing with Bill Power. This has since gone - the boards acting like schoolchildren at every turn, theres no finacial backing at all, they're shedding staff at every opportunity and its a club in reverse - not the platform he came here to work with - in fact, the complete opposite. This is purely and simply a consequence of the mess the board have made of our club over the last few weeks and the fact that at the moment, the Leeds job is the most coveted around. Sundays papers (the broadsheets, not the rags) were saying 3 premierhsip managers (supposedly Pardew, Dowie and one other) were interested - that proves the draw of the job. I'm absolutely GUTTED, but every now and again we have to look atbthis from afar - any manager would've doen the same. What we cannot stand for is Tuttle being appointed - santini made a point that we need the continuity of Tuttle and Lee to do what Wise and poyet were doing, but on that basis, shouldn't Tuttle have done better at Millwall - he was clearly doing something different there.

There are better men for the job out there.

Yes, whilst he was here he did really well. The team were the fittest they have ever been and everyone had high hopes. Dennis said alot of things about loyalty and the fact he had the cheek to comment on sean O hanlons departure regarding that. Now he's gone and just completely done one on us.I feel for our players the most. We were used pretty much. I guess thats the trouble with high profile managers.

Anyway we can bounce back from it, we are capable of promotion and we still stand a good chance.

I genuinely would not have minded if....

(1) He had gone to a bigger club AND HAD NOT SPOUTED OFF WHAT TRANSPIRES TO HAVE BEEN A LOAD OF SHITE IN THE FIRST PLACE or...

(2) He had gone to another league Two club AS THIS WOULD MEAN THAT HE WASN'T LYING IN THE FIRST PLACE

As neither of these two things have happened, the only conclusion that I can draw is that he is a hypocrit - says one thing and does another - and it is these sort of actions that cause people to lose respect for someone, which is what has happened to me in this case.

We have spent around 13million over the last few seasons, since we got relegated, although around 5 million has comback in due to sales!

Healy is our biggest asset at around 4 mill, although Killgallon is estimated to be a similar figure.  Other players aren't THAT far behind tbh

Obviously we have Santa / Colonel sanders / captn Bridseye / Bates who ownes the club.  Some say he is killing the club with his price rises etc.  Tbh, he did save the club from going under when he took over.
