Didnt our goal come via Monky...I cant remember?! I think everyone went mad when he saved it, as I said I thought it was as a good as 2-2. At full time I ran to the foot (nearly slipping on the bloody soaked steps) jumped up onto the fence and told Phil Smith that was 'fucking ace' when he came over to get his towel out the goal afterwards. I think I got a bit carried away. As, DMR said in another thread Smith handling was top dollar. He claimed everything and didnt spill a thing despite the wet conditions. Has a very good kick on him and looked very comfortable in goal. I know that was only one performance, but that did make me wonder why he's spent the last few years in non league football, but I've certainly seen worse keepers about in the leagues! |
