The club always gets the benefit of the money, it's just partly protected. Title: The Trust Post by: pauld on Friday, October 20, 2006, 11:32:36 The point of the condition was/is to ensure that a hypothetical rapacious board could not use RAF money to buy a player, sell him on at a fat profit within 6 months, then see the money disappear down various black holes/go to shareholders etc. This way, a chunk of any profit is still available (and ringfenced) for spending on players. Don't see how any fan (or any decent board for that matter) could object to that. And no, this isn't a dig at the board - the club have already agreed to the T&Cs
