Title: Sky One Post by: The Grim Reaper on Friday, October 20, 2006, 19:11:00 Sky One is a free channel on NTL.

Thats the whole point! Sky One is one of 30 channels FREE from NTL when you take their 'phone service. In other words don't pay BT for your line rental when you can switch to NTL, keep the same 'phone number and get a FREE digibox to watch around 30 channels for nowt. So yes fuck paying Sky to watch mounds of other rubbish. Title: Sky One Post by: Simon Pieman on Friday, October 20, 2006, 19:31:29 But then I'd have to get a different broadband supply etc. It would just end up costing the same as sky by the time I've added that in and paid cancellation fees.

However if you want to continue watching Lost on tv i was just trying to prove it can be done without subscribing to the likes of Sky. Title: Sky One Post by: Simon Pieman on Friday, October 20, 2006, 19:35:58 Meh download and burn job methinks. Best option.
No wonder downloadin is rife. That I do understand. I know a mate who has just had broadband put in and he keeps telling me how good value it is for £17.99 a month. But to get it he had to take a BT line which he never had originally and has to pay £11 a month for that! £28.99 a month suddenly not such a bargin after all! Title: Sky One Post by: Arriba on Friday, October 20, 2006, 19:37:51 ntl have the worst customer service i have ever experienced.

Last year I would have agreed with you. To be fair they have got a lot better since the merger with Telewest and Virgin Mobile. I get up to 8mb unlimited for £14.99 a month, no yearly contract (monthly). I need a phone line regardless though so I don't see that as an extra cost :soapy tit wank: Title: Sky One Post by: DV on Friday, October 20, 2006, 22:17:46 Quote from: "arriba" ntl have the worst customer service i have ever experienced. wankers! have you ever been to the county ground :D Title: Sky One Post by: Dazzza on Friday, October 20, 2006, 22:31:45 Quote from: "simon pieman" Ah didn't realise that. Not at the moment the phone line isn't capable and to be fair the contention on my product isn't the greatest. Until the phone line is capable of more than 2mb I don't see the point of upgrading for the contention ratio. I had the same broadband in southampton though and that did go to 8mb which was nice. |
