Another of the great British car makers become a foreigner: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6062084.stm Sports car company TVR is to cease production in the UK, with the loss of 250 jobs at its factory in Blackpool. :x Title: TVR Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Wednesday, October 18, 2006, 18:58:54 great! :x

As English as Yeltsin, a mate has one and we take great pleasure winding him up about his glorified Lada Title: TVR Post by: magic8ball on Wednesday, October 18, 2006, 19:39:37 A little research seems to suggest that it is a British firm?
Started by a geezer called Trevor Wilkinson? Title: TVR Post by: Dazzza on Wednesday, October 18, 2006, 19:55:54 Quote from: "magic8ball" A little research seems to suggest that it is a British firm? Started by a geezer called Trevor Wilkinson? Indeed but a bit like Chelski they’re now owned by the Ruskies, bought last year. Unfortunately aforementioned friend tends to whinge incessantly about it devaluing the ‘brand’ much to our amusement. Title: TVR Post by: Northern Red on Wednesday, October 18, 2006, 20:27:21 It was totally British - then recently bought by a Russian kiddy with a rich daddy, who said "Ve vill keep production in Blackpool".
And now its moving abroad sacking all its workers. Git :x That leaves Noble then - who are simply superb. Title: TVR Post by: Ralphy on Wednesday, October 18, 2006, 20:27:34 Truely amazing cars.
I followed a Sagaris through town the other day and noise gave all the ladies moist knickers, they sound beautiful :D Title: TVR Post by: Dazzza on Wednesday, October 18, 2006, 20:57:53 I'm just pleased I managed to join in a car thread for once without looking to much of a tit.

Did you pass your recent test Dazzza? Title: TVR Post by: Dazzza on Wednesday, October 18, 2006, 21:06:19 Failed in rather spectacular fashion even if I do say so myself.
Following an arctic out of the test centre, why it was there I do not know. First stop sign and the arctic blocks the road in front to turn, I stop short of the white line and back of the arctic by two metres or so as it’s turning. Instant fail in under a minute for failing to stop at a stop sign. :D Not one minor either. To be fair he I had checked the road and had good visibility where I stopped but you can’t do that sort of thing until you’re passed he said. Week on Friday is the next attempt. Title: TVR Post by: Sussex on Wednesday, October 18, 2006, 21:46:27 That's a bugger. Lorry drivers seem to have a different set of road rules to the rest of us though.
Maybe set yourself a target as an incentive: To pass before Sade..? Good luck for the next test. Title: TVR Post by: Dazzza on Wednesday, October 18, 2006, 21:48:24 Cheers is it just me and Sade left then, there was 3 or 4 of us at one point all gunning for it? :D
