A good place to play demo tournaments is Absolutepoker.com When you've won your first fake million though, don't then decide to play for real money, you'd lose your money in minutes. Before progressing to real money you need to fully understand hand value, position and odds. Then you need to use these against your opponents at the right times while throwing them the odd curve ball. The best hand in the game is actually 10 5 offsuit, this is because it can make every possible straight from ace,2,3,4,5 to 10, jack, queen, king, ace and as it's unsuited it can make flushes of two different suits so it's obviously better than 10 5 suited which can only make a flush of one suit.

Take pocket 2s. The flop could all be suited over cards, but you could catch running 2's. I'd be all in should someone think about betting on the flop, such is the potential of these hands. |
