Title: Fao any PC boffins. Wireless adapter? Post by: blinkpip on Saturday, October 14, 2006, 10:30:41 I just got a netgear wireless router. But having problems with my usb wirless adapter, to set up another PC online.
I installed the software given and it puts a icon on my desktop. I then try to open the shortcut, but nothing happens. It just wont load. The program should run and tell me to insert my adapter. But I can't get it to work without running the program some how. I tried inserting the adapter but nothing really happens. I had windows 98 on this PC before, if thats anything to do with the problem? My adapter is: Netgear 54 mbps wireless usb adapter WG111. And it's the one that is compatible with my router. Help.. please. Title: Fao any PC boffins. Wireless adapter? Post by: Dazzza on Saturday, October 14, 2006, 13:30:30 First off see if you can navigate to the router's config page: 192.168.0.1

Another problem could be that you are selecting the Windows wireless icon, but you need to look for the netgear one. Title: Fao any PC boffins. Wireless adapter? Post by: blinkpip on Saturday, October 14, 2006, 17:33:09 Yes. I got it working, messed about with drivers.
