Title: is it too early? Post by: DiV on Friday, October 6, 2006, 20:58:01 ...to claim tomorrow is a must win game...
down to 4th below Wycombe and Lincoln after tonights games, and Walsall have gained another point. A win tomorrow would lift us back up to 2nd and 1point off top If we dont win Notts County could jump above us... Title: is it too early? Obviously. Title: is it too early? Post by: DiV on Friday, October 6, 2006, 21:45:36 I just think we have to win tomorrow.....
the top 4/5 teams look really strong and all have started off pretty well....average 2 points a game and your champions...at the moment there are about 4 teams averaging that. We need to keep up with the pack, if they keeping winning so must we....and it does seem along time since we won to!! Title: is it too early? Post by: Stef Troll on Friday, October 6, 2006, 21:46:28 Yep defo a must win game tomorrow. Against Wycombe and Notts County we played 2 of the better league 2 sides so draws were good. Whilst Accrington may be no mugs (beat Wycombe last week at home), we need to beat them to keep in contention
Title: is it too early? Post by: Samdy Gray on Friday, October 6, 2006, 21:47:13 This league's too inconsistent, so no win tomorrow wouldn't be the end of the world.
Saying that though, it would be a good start to getting us back on track. Three draws and a loss from the last four isn't exactly automatic promotion form. Title: is it too early? Post by: manc red on Friday, October 6, 2006, 23:54:07 The last game i was at was peterbourgh, so im just hoping for an improvement on that. Surely it cant be any worse?
Title: is it too early? Post by: Reg Smeeton on Saturday, October 7, 2006, 00:37:56 What happens on the pitch is of little consequence to the real battle for the soul of the club......I'd be very surprised with anything other than a defeat tomorrow.
So yes its too early to consider tomorrow a must win game. Title: is it too early? Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Saturday, October 7, 2006, 08:51:22 i wouldn't label it "must win" but its damn important we get the win today. we can't afford to keep dropping points and slipping back now. as it happens i also think we will lose today
Title: is it too early? Post by: Northern Red on Saturday, October 7, 2006, 10:00:04 Could get away with a draw, but really need a win, after 2 points in 2 games.
Title: is it too early? Post by: reeves4england on Saturday, October 7, 2006, 10:05:04 A draw wouldn't be a disaster but the win would put us back one place off top and would be a huge morale booster for players and fans alike.
NOT a must win game but definitely one that will make a difference should we win it. And I think we will Title: is it too early? L D D D D That's a hell of a slump, 4 points from 5 games. See VD's point, we actually need a win. Title: is it too early? Post by: flammableBen on Saturday, October 7, 2006, 11:29:45 I think we should be concentrating on the paint trophy. Maybe we should field reserve/youth teams for the league matches running up to the big game at Adams Park.
Title: is it too early? Post by: Sade on Saturday, October 7, 2006, 12:14:44 I agree
Title: is it too early? Post by: DiV on Saturday, October 7, 2006, 19:33:49 on reflection, after the game....I still dont think a draw was good enough.
Title: is it too early? Post by: RobertT on Monday, October 9, 2006, 10:12:06 The results against Peterborough and Boston are the only ones I'd not be happy about come May.
