Title: Just got this Email

A true friend takes interest in understanding what you're all about. Follow your heart wherever it takes you. You've done a lot of things with a cigarette in your hand, and it may even feel a little disorienting to be doing some things cigarette-free. And I realized that I never really resolved my thinking on this point. Am I just nuts altogether?
Of course, his behavior doesn't indicate that he has any intention of not drinking at home anymore. Even before reading this, I absolutely believed that alcoholism had a genetic basis. so I was just wondering what you guys thought. It is some pretty incredible information.
It has information regarding what happens on the CELLULAR level that influences tolerence, progression and relapse.
We've been together for a year, engaged since March.
He's even still sweet when he's drunk, especially lately.
I feel like I'm compromising myself by staying with him, and yet I feel I haven't given him enough time to change. And accept you just the way you are.
He'd promise, then fail. Am I just nuts altogether? The thing is, he really isn't that bad, especially when I read about what other people have had to endure.
My brother has no interest in getting help and my mother's health is failing from this.

Canadian or not, it's just a wonderful time to be thankful :hug:Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
So einfach ist das nicht, ich weiss. So, I'd like to hear people's reaction to this.
I'm a new member and really need to touch base with people who know what I'm talking about. I wish I could pour this information into the heads of every alcoholic I know. My mother is beside herself and cannot control or help him.
I wish even more, I could pour it into the heads of every family member impacted by the devestation of alcoholic behavior. Of course, his behavior doesn't indicate that he has any intention of not drinking at home anymore. if you haven't read it, I highly recommend the book. if you haven't read it, I highly recommend the book. It just keeps amazing me. Practice patience and tolerance.
Is there validity to this: that we can personalize their recovery as an indicator of how much they love us? I feel like I'm compromising myself by staying with him, and yet I feel I haven't given him enough time to change.

had a few of these in the last 3 weeks.

They're testing the email address - if they don't get a bounce-back, you get added to the spammers' lists. Check the spam filter settings on your mail client - you should have a setting to mark it as spam and if your spam filter's any cop, an option to bounce it back as if your mail address doesn't exist. As these things are largely generated by automated tools that check for bounce-backs to refine the per-domain lists, a half-decent "bounce-back spam" option will usually fool them.

Alternately, find out where the originating spam-harvesters live and burn down their village.

Either's good
